If I had train service I'd choose that right now so that I could view the landscape outside. No more planes for me. Too much traffic and b.s. for car trips.
Depends on where I'm going. Took Amtrak twice. Once overnight and the second time was 8 hours. Will never do overnight again but have no problem doing a few hours.
Depends on the trip and which is fastest, I just want to get there already. My golden rule if it's over 3 hours long in car then I will fly or train it if it's quicker.
Have puppies will travel, car only. In no way shape or form would I be able to enjoy a vacation with my girls. 1500 miles round trip, pet friendly condo with a pet friendly beach.. T minus 6 1/2 days but who's counting, lol
Word of warning, if you ever go anywhere with your family in a car, on a long trip, better make it a BIG car or van and make LOTS of stops so you can take breaks from each other. Otherwise you might get to Disneyworld and be ready to murder each other,
If I went by car, train, bus, or whatever, it would take me days to get to somewhere not disgusting (outside of this stupid assholes filled country), I prefer planes, because despite my acrophobia/claustrophobia, it is at least a short time.
Planes are unfortunately the best/only way to travel to destinations that are further than 6 hours away. Flying sucks right now, but sitting in a car for hours on end? Dealing with traffic and whiny kids? No thanks. At least on a plane the level of pain lasts for a shorter time.
I prefer to fly, but I do get motion sickness. Weirdly, I don't get sick in the car anymore unless I try to read or something. I've never travelled by train, but I'd like to give it a try sometime.
Planes. But also trains (when I was small, my parents said, the only way to get me to stop crying was to take me on a train ride). I also like smooth cars, especially if it's something that I can see Mycroft Holmes riding.
Funny! I'm on the Thalys between Brussels and Paris right now. The wifi (pronounced "whiff-ee") is excellent. I like taking trains, especially short distances in Europe, but sometimes a flight is more reasonable in terms of time.
If going to NYC, Acela all the way! Otherwise, plane

ReplyDeleteDepends on the destination. For instance, if I'm going to Europe from America, I prefer planes to automobiles because cars sink.
ReplyDeleteI used to fly alot, now it sucks. I prefer driving, or trains where they're available.
