Adam West Has Died
Adam West — an actor defined and also constrained by his role in the 1960s series “Batman” — died Friday night in Los Angeles. He was 88. A rep said that he died after a short battle with leukemia.
“Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight, and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. He was and always will be our hero,” his family said in a statement.
This really sucks. This is a huge, huge loss IMO. I adored Adam West. Loved him in everything I saw him do. He was sharp and funny and charming and vital until the very end.
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace, Mr. West.
A class act all the way ...RIP Mr West
ReplyDeleteRIP Hollywood needs to find a new Batman fast. Robin needs a mentor.

"Same Bat Time,
Same Bat Channel!"
RIP, Adam West!
None of the Batman movies over the years has been as much fun for me as the original TV show. He had some troubles for a while finding work after the show ended but he eventually rebounded and it sounds like he had a great life. RIP.
ReplyDeleteI'm buying a [virtual] round of shark repellent for all of you here today.
