Blind Items Revealed #4

February 17, 2017

This almost permanent A list pint sized singer/rapper showed that she not only whitens her face but also most of her body even when she is going to not show off any skin.

Lil' Kim

It kind of makes sense if you are gonna skin whitenlighten to do the whole body unless you like looking like a complete freak. Not that she doesn't anyway with her lightened skin.

It saddens me that people even feel the need to do this procedure.

  4. Smh, it's sad really, this stems from her dad though.

Can someone in the know explain to me what someone does to whiten their body? Am not familiar with this procedure as I am so white I glow in the dark. And people like me spend thousands every year to go on vacation to turn brown! Go figure.

The Body Shop (L'Oréal) and Unilever have OTC creams for that. They're really common in the Asia-Pacific region (I think most western beauty bloggers in NA/EU only know L'Oréal as "problematic" for their animal rights records, but they're also very racist in Asia).

I think the current marketing/sales strategy is to provide as small as possible a range of shades for cosmetic products (like foundations, BB/CC creams, cushions) that the average woman will have no choice but use skin-lightening products to be able to use the products they release.

You can also have your dermatologist give you high-dosage Vitamin C injections (I know they're really effective because my dermatologist used to shoot in small squirts of it on my acne scars to make them heal faster—the spots would go away pretty fast). Except unlike the "spot treatments" to make specific acne spots go away, they'd do it for your whole body. IDC if they say you can't technically OD over a vitamin, that can't be good!

It's hard for me to go to a general drugstore/supermarket and NOT find a product without some sort of whitening ingredients in it. It's not until you go to hippy/high-end stores that you find something "neutral" (and because I refuse to audition for racist products, I have actually NEVER showed up to a skincare ad audition in my life, because all of them are racist). That's post-colonial Asia/Africa for you!

No one is going to scream "cultural appropriation" ??? But lord forbid white women wear hoops..... or corn rows...... or that Alexander McQueen black velvet jacket!!

Seems like neither of you understand what cultural appropriation means. White women (especially with blonde hair/blue eyes) are upheld as the pinnacle of beauty. So Kim's transformation is an indication of her rejection of her Blackness. And NOT an cultural appropriation of White women.

  13. Thank you for the mini lecture. Now don't you have an tolerant anti-white pu$$y march with terrorist-&-FGM-supporting sharia advocates to attend?

Way to show just how out of touch you are on this subject and or course it always goes back to politics with you Americans lol smh. Skin bleaching has been a real problem throughout the developing world in areas like South America,Asia and Africa as a result of our eurocentric standard of beauty pushing many women of color to unfortunately internalize the widespread sentiment that being lighter is more attractive and beautiful. Go to any drug store in those places and youll find that skin bleaching poison being sold by the dozens. It's no surprise that in this instance with Kim,that she's been scared mentally from Notorious BIG leaving her for the mulatto Faith Evans during their primes and she hasn't recovered since.
