A record executive asked how she was supposed to sell a new record when the singer looked like she last changed her hair style and clothes a decade ago. She was discussing the middling network actress who dreams of becoming a singer.
Lea Michele
How are you supposed to sell a record by a singer with no talent? Oh wait.......
ReplyDeleteShe should become a Country Western Singer?
ReplyDeleteShe has talent but not the songs. In music the songwriter/producer rules and makes the $$$'s. Which is why plenty of big name acts ask for a cut of the song in order to sing it.
ReplyDeleteShe is technically a good singer. She expects to have, the songs handed to her, and she is too Broadway flor pop radio. The producers and so ngwritters rule now, the singers are interchangeable with autotune.
ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't she try to forge a career on Broadway.. or has she?
ReplyDeleteRemember when a singer who could actually sing was adored for their talent? Can you see some seedy record guy telling Billie Holiday or Ella Fitzgerald they looked dowdy?
ReplyDeleteShe was a broadway baby, she was in Les Mis as a kid,she wants to be the next Streisstand
ReplyDeleteBroadway stars always try to be pop stars, it never works out
ReplyDeleteSo, Icarus, then?
ReplyDeleteYeah, they dont ever have to change their hair styles.
ReplyDeleteLea Michele has an absolutely phenomenal voice. Her cover of "Don't Rain on My Parade" for Glee gies me chills, truly. Her voice is too Broadway and show tuney for pop radio. She needs to go back to Broadway and she really would have a shot at a long, successful career. Sadly, she seems to be obsessed with making it on radio and becoming a Top 40 artist, so it's talent that is going to be wasted.
ReplyDeleteShe shops be on the home channel or something. Her look fits there.
ReplyDelete*she should be
ReplyDeleteAGREE 100%
ReplyDeletedo you really think Lea Michelle is the next Ella Fitzgerald?
