Blind Items Revealed #1

A lot of tension on set between these two A list actresses. Apparently back in the day, this foreign born A list actress was talked into investing some money with the other A lister’s ex. Our foreign born A lister still blames the other for her loss and feels like the other A list actress has not ever fessed up or apologized properly.
Cate Blanchett/Anne Hathaway
So you attach yourself to a movie and don't ask the people offering who will be working with you?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why she expects an apology from AnnE. Apparently, she was unaware of his dirty dealings. She did nothing wrong to Cate.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Cate did it intentionally. I can see her cold staring poor Anne and making her squirm.
ReplyDeleteWhat gave you the impression she went into the film not knowing who was in the the cast? I'm sure she knew, but Hollywood is the sort of biz where oftentimes one takes what one can get, even at Cate's stature in Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if, at her ex's urging, Anne provided the introduction. So in retrospect, it's pretty icky. She should have definitely been in touch with Cate after the fact. Not as cut and dry as you seem to think.
ReplyDeleteAs RenShaw below says she might have known and done it to deliberately make AnnE uncomfortable. Didn't think of it that way, thought of it as she was unaware and caught by surprise.
ReplyDeleteThese events happened a long time ago and could have permanently ruined Anne's career. She and her shady fiance were photographed on yachts, in private jets, with famous people. I remember how I felt when the story dropped here in Manhattan. So shocked. Felt so bad for her. I would like to think Cate did not blame her for losing her money. She seems like such a lady.
ReplyDeleteNot Anne's fault.
ReplyDeleteI still recall those shots of Anne going down on this guy aboard Valentino's yacht. Amazing. Didn't she have to forfeit all or most of the jewelry he gave her, too? If this happened to her today, career over.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't think it unreasonable to expect some type of apology or, at least, expression of sorrow if your spouse defrauded investors, one of which, is a coworker and acquaintance.
ReplyDeleteReally!! Where?
ReplyDeleteNevermind. Saw it. Nope, not going down on anyone.
ReplyDeleteMessy! If true, Anne should've cleared the air. That would be the right and classy thing to do.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet she had to move in with her mother and live on tuna fish sandwiches until she managed to rebuild her credit rating.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure Anne should have to apologize, but she could at least acknowledge the issue to Cate directly. That'd be the right thing to do to make working together less awkward.
