This HBO actor from a pretty hit show not named GOT there is probably B list. B+ list if you watch the show. He says he was recently date raped by a guy he picked up at a bar.
I'm very pleased to see the unanimous sentiment here and no guesses. Just because he told someone (if this blind is even real) doesn't mean that he wanted it to be known more broadly.
Wow. That's horrible. I won't dignify this nonsense with a guess either because this is sort of an inappropriate topic for a blind. This is a traumatic experience that shouldn't be minimized as gossip fodder.
I wish the post hadn't said "date" rape as though it is minimizing the rape. It's just as accurate to say "was raped by a man he met at a bar" without the "date" in front of it. Rape is rape is rape.
Isn't date rape supposed to have a specific meaning? Aka that he was drugged? I don't necessarily think it minimizes rape. It just adds more to the story of how it happened.
No, nothing with being drugged. It's a type of acquaintance rape where there's some sort of romantic or potentially sexual relationship between the two people. So if you went to dinner with someone who asked you out, and on the way home they raped you, that's date rape.
