Kane Officially Running For Mayor In TN
Glenn Jacobs, also known as the professional wrestler Kane, officially announced the beginning of his campaign to run for Knox County mayor Tuesday afternoon.
Jacobs is running as a Republican and owns an insurance firm in Halls.
His campaign posted a Facebook live video of his announcement speech where he came to the podium to the chorus of Brooks & Dunn’s “Only in America.”
He said his family could live anywhere in the country, but choose to live in East Tennessee because they love it.
He will most likely win.
ReplyDeleteWhyyy is this making me think of the "The Making of the Mob: Chicago" episode I saw yesterday? I saw Episode 2 (specifically, I saw the one where one of the mobster's "legal businesses" is a florist and he arranges flowers as a hobby, the narrator in the V.O. described him as having "killed tens/20 of people" with those same hands he arranges flowers with, everyone has a "human" side). LOL. Cute.
ReplyDeleteJesse Ventura was a mayor, then a governor. Lousy as a governor. Lousy as a private citizen, i.e. lawsuit over Chris Kyle.
ReplyDeleteI live in east Tennessee. It is beautiful, especially in the fall. I about 70 miles away from Knoxville. I haven't looked at his page and don't follow wrestling, either. I think the smart thing for future republicans to do would to try to distance themselves from the fuckfest that is Trump. I personally lean blue, however I am the only one within a one-hundred yard radius that is. I am surrounded by red everywhere I go. Needless to say, I stay home a lot.
