Former Miss Montana Turned Teacher Tweets Bad Things About Her Students
A former beauty pageant winner has been accused of mocking her students in a series of offensive posts on social media.
Sheridan Tihista, who won the title of Miss Montana in 2013, is being investigated by a middle school in North Dakota, where she is now a special education teacher, for tweeting about her students.
According to WDAY News, a group of concerned parents anonymously sent Liberty Middle School in West Fargo, North Dakota, a list of social media posts sent out by Tihista.
In the tweets, which have since been deleted, Tihista referred to her students as "monsters" and "satan."
The special education teacher told WDAY News, "My tweets may have been distasteful but don't illustrate what kind of educator I am."
This isn't the first time the beauty pageant winner has made the news. In 2014, she claimed her sorority at Minnesota State University Moorhead bullied her.
"Out of the blue was told that I was probably the most hated woman to go through Gamma Phi and that my membership would have to be voted on," Tihista told WDAY TV at the time.
Young and dumb?

ReplyDeleteHer license should be revoked. Special education students deserve better than this idiot. However why did the parents want to be anonymous? These children need advocates, get loud if you must.
ReplyDeleteYoung and dumb doesn't cut it when you're teaching special ed kids, or any kids in general really.
ReplyDeleteThere was probably a legit reason for her to be the most hated woman at her sorority. She shouldn't be able to teach, especially since she won't take any responsibility...typical for the spoiled, self-centered millennial that she is.
ReplyDeleteWhy couldn't she just keep a private diary. So inappropriate to blast the kids online:/ seems like a b -why be a teacher if you don't like the kids??? :/
ReplyDeleteJust wondering how would she feel if she had a child with special needs and found out one of her child's educators tweeted things about her kid? Shame on her!! Her licence should be revoked. There is a standard to follow, she must have flunked out of that course!!
ReplyDeleteI already know I'm terrible...but I'm totally with her! They probably ARE rowdy. haha
ReplyDeleteLooks like her sorority sisters knews what they were talking about.
ReplyDeletenot all millennials r self-centered spoiled brats (miss(s) whatever bullshit is(r)), one day some of millennials will be ur's 'senior home' nurse...
ReplyDeleteP.S. be more positive...
Rowdy does not equal Satan. If you cannot stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. If she does not respect them in public, how must she treat them privately?
ReplyDeleteAsshole.
ReplyDeleteI just don't get how she got a license to teach special education children in the first place. Or what drew her to the profession. Teaching special education children attracts a certain kind of personality (I know someone like that).
ReplyDeleteIt's like how you know people with Narcissistic/Histrionic Personality Disorder are drawn to the entertainment industry? It usually takes a certain kind of person to want to teach special ed and shes not it. I wonder if it was a "IDK what to do with my life" decision.
Of course they are, but you don't publicly say so when it's your job!
ReplyDelete“My tweets may have been distasteful but don’t illustrate what kind of educator I am.”
ReplyDeleteOh, but it does.
I looked up the news and there are more offensive comments mentioned. She's on paid leave while they investigate, and she shut down her twitter. I hope they fire her, fast. Really fast.
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty queen and blonde= qualified for everything
