All the answers this week to the blind items are people who have never previously been an answer to a blind in the past decade.
This was going to be his time. For the first time, this show runner was going to get a show beyond season one. Fourth time a charm and all that. Honestly if they had not fired him before the first show even aired, I would have said they had a shot to make it to season 2. When he couldn't get his personal issues under control though, they brought in someone else who changed the direction of this superhero network show and I would give it about 20% chance to get renewed for a second season.
Justin Halpern-Powerless
ReplyDeleteThe Inhumans-Scott Buck is the show runner brought in to make it a success
ReplyDeletePowerless also takes place in "Charm City" so that sounds like a clue. I'd agree with the 20% chance as well ...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely sounds like Halpern, who had his initial 15 minutes of fame with the Twitter handle "Sh*t My Dad Says," that turned into a short lived TV series starring William Shatner. "Surviving Jack" also got cancelled, but I count "Powerless" as only his third time showrunning. Also don't know what personal issue he has. I know somebody who worked with him on "Sh*t My Dad Says," and nothing notable in this area ever came up.
ReplyDeleteInhumans is only a mini series.
