Australian television anchor was caught unaware when a recorded news story came back to her after. Her reaction went viral, but was not a big deal. It is not like she went on some horrible foul mouthed rage. It was just a reaction. Apparently the station was looking for any reason to replace her though, and this was that reason.
Many, many moons ago, I worked for a short time at a local TV news station. Based on her reaction, I think the blame should be placed on the control booth. Did they not have a count-down going in her earpiece?
ReplyDeleteThink set up in NOT giving her warning.
Seriously? In India some irresponsible journalist led to a man's suicide: https://youtu.be/Y6tSeun2G50?t=12m34s
ReplyDeleteAnd this anchor's getting fired for gasping?
Exactly. It's like blaming an actor for "agreeing to" a film's storyline (you can get a script thinking it's about X, play the scenes in the script as X, someone "changes the plot" to Y via editing, the actors had no idea, but the actors get blame).
ReplyDeletefiring for this alone would be too harsh, but judging by her distracted behavior during the video and jumpiness, i'm gonna guess she has some substance abuse problems or is just not very on the ball. news anchors have to know how to play it cool and make smooth transitions no matter what craziness is thrown at them.
ReplyDeleteShe should be more comfortable in front of the camera.
ReplyDelete"Go fuck yourself, San Diego!"
ReplyDeleteThis is Asstralia. Who cares about some nobody from the middle of nowhere?
ReplyDeleteAmber Sherlock and the station fired her because she is a bitch to coworkers. Enty reputation is extremely important and Amber bitchy attitude about her co anchor wearing a white shirt was unprofessional. The video is on YouTube by the way.
