The family of this movie (not almost network) superhero are not really loving his actress girlfriend. The reason is they can do the timeline in their head just like everyone else and things look bad. They prefer his ex. You know, his ex is not all that great either and has done some of her own timeline reconstruction in the past too.

ReplyDeleteThis also reveals Chris Evans is the superhero who wants out of his contact (solving another related blind). The press clearly indicate that he wants an entire re-direct in his career. Smaller, more focused art films over the attention getting blockbusters. With lots of directing interspersed.

ReplyDeleteOk, I'm going to preface my bias by admitting I fucking love Chris Evans. I also liked Jenny up until she shared that story on NPR about her shitting herself on purpose. I never liked them together though (yes, biased). So them splitting makes me happy even though I obviously have no shot in hell.
ReplyDeleteChris has been quoted saying Marvel can have him as long as they want him, but also mentioned he wants to definitely do more directing. Marvel pays the bills, so he can do the pet projects.
If you haven't seen Puncture, highly recommend. He's excellent.
Pretty sure he never dated Lizzie. Maybe hooked up? I like her a lot, so whatever.

ReplyDeleteYes, that was mentioned in an article years ago. However: 1) Chris did not say that directly 2) Chris was in the process of increasing his salary for Captain America, which Chris admitted later when he said he wasn't "working for peanuts". 3) The quote was planted by PR people, see number 2. 4) Since then, Chris' priorities have changed. 5) Do you know how many millions Chris made on the last Captain America alone? He never has to work again for years. He is not an extravagant guy and quite simply doesn't want the limelight. Not to mention he has another medium sized project in Jekyll which will bankroll his endeavors for a bit.
His directing and smaller projects may not bring in millions. However, it certainly won't be for nothing. And it'll be more than most people make a living on yearly. Chris, quite simply, wants to do what makes him happy and fulfilled. It's not Captain America or projects of that scope. Maybe in five years, he'll change his mind and do another franchise. But for right now, that's where his head is at and as a fan, you should support it and understand why.
I'm not getting into an argument over what I should and shouldn't do as a fan.

Well, maybe Jenny's husband will take her back. Scarlett is single now so maybe she and Chris can send the shippers into a frenzy. They're both presenting at the Oscars.

Since you find that concept to be so difficult to handle, I suggest you find somewhere else to post as this place isn't for you. However, no one (including myself) is going to curb our participation because you do not approve.
The gossip is about Chris Evans, obviously. He is leaving Captain America, he even notified the producers last month of his intention to do so. Either deal with it or don't.

ReplyDeleteBut, did RDJ really or did you just make that conversation up? Hint: it's the latter. Neither gentleman have talked about their respective career choices. Why would they? Now, CAA has probably tried to talk (unsuccessfully) Evans out of leaving Captain America, but that's another story.
