Blind Item #9
This permanent A list living legend/host has gone from bad to worse in her health and needs almost 24/7 care from a staff of people. There had been talk of a lifetime tribute to her on her longtime network in a time slot she held on to for decades. Apparently she was unable to participate though so it was out on hold.
Barbara Walters
ReplyDeleteThough I'd say more newswoman because the View is like-the wooooorst
ReplyDeleteMaybe Somebody like a Carol Burnett (who I don't think is ill )if not Baba Wawa.
ReplyDeleteDoris day
ReplyDeleteThe spot for Baba is the interview hour she did before the Oscar telecast?
ReplyDeleteOprah?
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was thinking:(
ReplyDeleteI think it's Walters, but Enty left out 'journalist' because if it didn't happen this century, it didn't happen.
ReplyDelete+1
ReplyDeleteSo they'll wait till she dies & do a Greatest Hits. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteIt prob is meant to be baba wawa, but I don't think enty probably described her well
ReplyDeleteWhile it appears for all the world to see that she has led a charmed life, the reality isn't the same. Her beloved sister was mentally challenged. She never had biological children of her own. She has had a lot of emotional problems with her adopted daughter. Her marriages and affairs all failed. I never envied her. A lot of people in the TV industry had it out for her from Day 1. I remember when she first came on the scene long, long ago. Now we have women like Kelly Rippa and Megan Kelly. Talk about a great fall! There will never be another Barbara Walters. She is one of a kind and a classy, classy lady.
ReplyDeleteNot Oprah. She's filming a movie and is completely fine and in good health. My wife met her on set visit last week.
ReplyDeleteCarol Burnett was my first thought.
