Blind Item #2
This actress has a franchise. A long running one. Back in the day she was the teen/20 something who was cast in every romcom. Now, she is finally getting a chance again to be a star. She has a really good, unusually formatted almost television show. I hope the director of the show doesn't find out she is cheating on him. The director thinks it is forever love.
Michelle Monaghan maybe?
ReplyDeleteYou mean SHE is in love former while HE cheats in her right
ReplyDeleteThe fuck?
ReplyDeleteDrew Barrymore...or Winona Ryder.
ReplyDeleteJulia Stiles?
ReplyDeleteJulia Stiles
ReplyDeleteWell it would be more accurate to say that Stiles HAD a franchise because her character in Bourne is fucking dead.
ReplyDelete;ike this guess but couldnt find a tv series she is currently on.
ReplyDeletei don't see anything unusual about the format of 'the path'. i'm stuck on this 'unusual format' thing.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about any of the others mentioned in the comments, but Winona would make sense right? 'Unusual format' could be a hint at Stranger Things being a Netflix original, not a regular TV show.
ReplyDeleteI personally think the show is overrated and just rolls out every 80s Spielberg trope, but whatever... Not sure if she was always the romcom girl, though. And the long-running part confuses me. But I can't think of anyone else who would fit.
I'm with you about Stranger Things. I watched the whole series and really became so bored. Won't be watching Season 2.
ReplyDeleteJulia Stiles has a show coming out Thursday on sky Atlantic.
ReplyDeleteLmao!
ReplyDeleteNo, the "almost" before "tv show" is the hint it's a Netflix show. Or another streaming show on Amazon, Hulu, & all the rest.
ReplyDelete@Yep that's... pretty much what I said. I got that it meant not a cable TV show. But I didn't think Stranger Things really fit. Just don't know what else it would be. A lot of netflix originals are bad imo.
ReplyDeleteStiles in Riviera on Sky Atlantic. She was in 10 Things I Hate About You and some other teen romcoms, then disappeared for a while.
ReplyDeleteCannot be Ryder. She was not in "every romcom". Heathers & Beetleguice are not "romcoms". LOL!
Cannot be Barrymore. She didn't disappear and suddenly return to be a star again.
Stiles would seem to fit, but the part about "I hope the director of the show doesn’t find out she is cheating on him. The director thinks it is forever love" doesn't seem to fit. Stiles got engaged to Preston Cook a year ago, and, as far as I know, there hasn't been any talk of that being called off. Cook's a cameraman, but isn't involved at all with Riviera. And, if I read IMDB correctly, she was in one episode of Riviera (not exactly a 'star making' situation).
ReplyDeleteNot sure who else fits, though. I've been trying to make Renee Zellweger fit, thinking that Bridget Jones might fit as a 'long running franchise', but don't see a TV series that fits. She also really started in her mid-20's, not teens.
Drew? She has the show Santa Clarita Diet. The unusual format is she eats people. And she is recently divorced.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking he literally means a show that's not structured like a normal scripted program. Like a show that is more improv than scripted. Or like the show "Life in Pieces" that has 3 segments showing different family members perspectives on what happened in the episode. (It wouldn't be that show. It's on CBS, so not almost TV.) I do not watch enough streaming shows to have any good guesses for this blind unfortunately.
