I wasn't interested in seeing Moonlight at ALL. Ditto for LaLa land.

I swear I just seen LaLa Lands preview last week. It's weird how it can win awards when it's just been released at the movies.
Again, HOW was ANYONE on the show This Is Us nominated for anything?? The acting is absolutely atrocious! Ok, take that back--I think Sterling Brown and Ron Cephas Jones are very believable and the acting is definitely there. Milo too for the most part. Otherwise, I don't know what the HELL kinda PR they threw out there to get treated like this is the biggest show of the century. Unless, its because there are a lot of shitty shows on network right now.
While I think Moonlight is a great film, I'm puzzled as to why people like it so much. I left the theater I tears, and people were clapping at the end. I honestly don't think people understand the film. While there is a glimmer of hope at the end, it's so minuscule as to reinforce how oppressed the characters really are. I think one has to have lived some version of that oppression to read it for what it is. I'm happy for all the enthusiasm, but I feel this film is misunderstood. Should it win the Oscar, there's going to be a lot of people scratching their heads.

I can't stand that show either. I catch some of it when I'm waiting for the 11 pm news. I can't stand most network TV at all any more, especially the dramas. They all have the same annoying formula of musical montage at the end with hipster-alternative girl singer singing some lame song.
I'm annoyed that SJP got a nom but Thomas Haden Church didn't. He is absolutely the best part of Divorce, and that's not saying much.
