Blind Items Revealed #1
December 18, 2016
One of the children of this now deceased permanent A+ list mostly television comic actress couldn’t wait for their mother to die to start making money off her. They were so greedy that they took fractions of what it would have been worth if they held on to it for a few years.
Lucille Ball
That's families for ya. Everyone comes out the woodwork when money is involved.
ReplyDeleteThi blind is ridiculous. Which child? Maybe they needed the money right away or had to pay estate taxes, how long is a while, Lucy died in 1989.
ReplyDeleteYeah estate taxes are RIDIC and sometimes you are left with no choice but to cut your losses in order to pay them.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention insurance, property taxes, etc. A lot of things you have. No idea what they could be worth.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably Desilu Studio and who knows if either Desi or Lucie had any idea how to run it.
ReplyDeleteShe and Desi only had 2 children.
ReplyDeleteAnd from what I can tell, both are/have been living quite well off the royalties because Lucille and Desi owned the I Love Lucy show 100% at their deaths.
So, I don't see any reason for either child to sell their interest to anyone.
Lucy sold the Desilu studio long before she died. Lucie Arnez said in an interview that, of all of her mother's shows, she and her brother only owned rights to Here's Lucy (1968-1974). So presumably one of them sold their interest in that show.
ReplyDeleteDon't they get money for star trek?
ReplyDeleteNailed it
ReplyDeleteBlow it out your a$$s
ReplyDeleteNo they fucking aren't.
ReplyDeleteI ♥ Lucy!
