The child of this A list model/part-time reality star wanted a cupcake. The mom said no because the mom was not allowed any during her childhood so the child was not going to be allowed any either. The store clerk said it was an incredibly sad exchange.
Heidi Klum?
ReplyDeleteCindy Crawford
ReplyDeleteOr Christie Brinkley, but I think she is permanent A+
ReplyDeleteSeems like Padma... She has a 7-year old daughter.
ReplyDeleteNone of these people are part time reality stars. A clue is part time reality star. So Tyra Banks?
ReplyDeleteNot likely. Her child is now one year old (born January last year)
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not,. Non celebrity mom's put up with this on a daily basis. Just because a kid wants sweets doesn't mean they should always have it. The only time I have a problem with it is if the mom was eating one. How old is Tyra's kid? Parma would be reversed, part time model, full time reality. Is there someone new on project runway?
ReplyDeleteTyra has a baby not a kid. Heidi.i worked with someone whose parents did the same and now he eats tons of junk food. Then another one was the opposite and her daughter has always had a weight problem
ReplyDeletePadma
ReplyDeletePadma may not be nice but she currently eats and enjoys food for a living. I don't think it's her. Not sure who else though.
ReplyDeleteIf she does not give her spawn all the sweets they want, they are never getting the average weight of an American.
ReplyDeletePadma hasn't been , or ever really was an actual model - she was an escort to older men- don't think she has ever done an editorial- but she's a current A list model?
ReplyDeleteShe's a reality star who gets photographed and had a Z list careee before Saloman Rushdie. It's Klum or some bimbo on an X factor somewhere
Kudos for the mom for not giving in to a child whining for a cupcake. Maybe it was before lunch, maybe she already had reasonable amount of sugar for day, maybe child is having weight / health issues. Maybe it's none of our business why, other than the mom had her reason and decided the next thing next to because I am your mother that's why. Maybe in response to the child pleading, the mom said, I didn't eat that crap growing up, and I survived... maybe because she was poor, they didn't have money, maybe she lived on farm, and mom preferred pies, maybe her mom was also concerned about health. Because, lit's not healthy, heart disease is number one killer, diabetes is on constant rise in US, as is childhood obesity. Americans are less and less active, more and more unhealthy. Maybe she just didn't want to spoil dinner, or the child already had one, or was having cake later. Wtf kind of blind is this. Maybe clerk is ignorant, or self serving, wanting the world to eat her cupcakes. Who knows, except, being a mom is hard enough. Raising kids with healthy eating habits is even harder. Putting a negative spin on a mom trying not to indulge her child? Go figure the entitlement complexes of millennials... denied cupcake = poor, damaged youth today...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to say this is Padma....wikipedia has a her as a model, and it says her mom was a dancer and an actress so I could see her refusing sweets to her because she was scared of her gaining weight (putting her own fears onto her children), and maybe that's why she turned to cooking.
ReplyDeleteThis should actually be titled Kindness. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. Bravo to the mom!!! My never allowed soda in the house. We also weren't allowed to have dessert after dinner. Now that I'm an adult. I can't stand soda and I never crave sugar. I hate desserts and I hate sweets. I'm also thin, which is a definite plus. In my opinion...sugar is the devil.
ReplyDeleteIf the store clerk thought that was an incredibly sad exchange, they need to get out more.
