This A+ list singer gave money to a PAC last year. Apparently the PAC got hacked and now the singer is terrified people will find out who she supported for President and that she gave $100K to the PAC.
I believe Taylor voted for the Azzhole, but I don't think she contributed to it's pac. She has many more options for tax deductible contributions and has demonstrated generousity with children's charities.
I honestly can't believe the hypocrisy. I want people to just be who they are. Free and as open as they desire (or not public if that is their preference). Gender, sexual orientation, religion, and politics. I'm not down with shaming people because they think differently than I do. Exhausting.
We aren't shaming. Just acknowledging the inevitable backlash that his supporters will eventually experience. I don't envy them, and certainly hope they can all come to terms with it.
Why does everyone HAVE to be a democrat?! Let people be it famous or average Joe's vote for who they want! Isn't that democracy!? Why must you be a democrat or nothing? Whatever happened to the days where you kept your political opinion to yourself? You should never put anyone period. Be it their sexuality or politics.
Nothing more hypocritical than hearing a liberal celebrating free speech and the value of diversity of thought. The left has become the haters and jack booted thugs that they have often accused the right of being.
You know, I've been a progressive liberal for decades and I've never given a rat's ass what celebrity supported who or what causes. It has less than nothing to do with my life or opinions. Social media has made these people so accessible that fans think they know them. They don't and they're not entitled to. My neighbors sexual proclivities, religion, salary and political leanings are none of my business and mine are none of theres. I've become a bit more Libertarian in that way - everybody out of my business! I have family on all sides of this current divide and I love them all. What will be will be - I won't ever love them less.
Carrie Underwood was making lots of sneering Obama remarks when she hosted a Country Awards show the past few years. This year she was oddly quiet except she just wished the election was over. It seems she realized she couldn't admit to supporting the Republican candidate. I think she was embarrassed to. It's Carrie Underwood. She is a die hard Republican.
Not a Trump or Hillary fan. F that. I say stick to your political principles. These Hollywood liberals hide behind their fame but are some of the worst racist and homophobic who get away with it when their biases are heaped on the collectively dislike other. Hollywood republicans are the new gays in the closet. It would be great if she took on all the screamers and did some screaming on her own. Let the civil war start in Hollywood, shoot each other for real. That I would watch.
The only bullying I see is of liberals who dare to voice an opinion that Trump fans don't like. Anyone who posts anything anti-Trump online at the moment gets absolutely jumped on.
My big reply got moderated (probably for having too many links) but this is nonsense. Political donations are public record. The Federal Election Commission publishes them. OpenSecrets.org has a searchable database. The idea that there's a "secret" list of PAC donors that got hacked is so much spinach.
Since I can't post my post with the links, here are few of the things I found at OpenSecrets; feel free to do searches of your own.
• Taylor hasn't made any political gifts, nor has her dad. (The "Scott Swift" who donates lives in Iowa; he's not Taylor's dad.) But…Karlie Kloss's dad (Dr. Kurt Kloss of St. Louis) used to be a regular donor to the RNC and NRCC. Nothing huge, just $250 here and $500 there, and nothing since '06. But it's funny that Taylor is presupposed to be the one with Republican relatives (and Scott does seem to be a Repub, just not an activist) when it's Karlie's dad who actually gave them money for several years.
• Clint Eastwood (lists job as "self-employed") gives to Republicans, of course, but largely in Nevada. Even *he* knows his party is a dead fish in California, it seems. (Not that Joe Heck, the Repub choice to replace Harry Reid in the Senate, did any better, despite Clint's gifts. But at least he came close.) He also keeps to Congressional races, largely.
• Bruce Springsteen also keeps to Congressional races, despite his pissing me off by betraying his history of supporting working people with his endorsement of Corrupt Corporate Clinton. He may have climbed into bed with the Bushes…but at least he didn't give their candidate his money. Yay?
Actually, the best part was that Bruce gave money to John Hall (the ex-Orleans singer who had two terms in Congress in NY)…I wonder if he did a cover of "Dance with Me" or "Still the One" in any of his shows?
Oh, and when The Boss is feeling formal, he fills out documents as "Bruce F. Springsteen III". Which I actually didn't know was his full legal name, since his dad was named Douglas. Guess Bruce I and II were farther up the family tree.
• And wow, they really weren't kidding about how much money billionaire casino owner Sheldon Adelson gives to Republican PACs. Tens and tens of millions of dollars. (Much of it in his wife's name.) It's amazing he still has enough to help fund Las Vegas's attempt to steal the Raiders from Oakland. (The bastard.)
But no, the "secret Republican pop star" appears to be hooey. Although checking "Carrie Fisher" (because Carrie Underwood is married to Mike Fisher and might use that name for donations, even if she doesn't use it professionally) shows that our beloved Princess ("actress/writer") gave to a wide variety of Democrats, but nothing since 2010. Maybe she didn't like being told to "buck up" by a miffed Obama/Biden, when a good portion of the base was upset that the bankers who crashed the economy were getting off with a stern word and a wrist-slap? (I believe the stern word was optional, actually.)
In any event, Carrie's loyalty to the party ended up being long ago, in a galaxy far, far away. But she wasn't a sekrit Republican, either…
Tay Tay?
ReplyDeleteOr Katy P?
ReplyDeleteTaylor and Trump. Taylor is all about winning..
ReplyDeleteKaty so was a huge Hillary supporter so I'll +1 Taylor....we know it's not Madonna lol
ReplyDeleteHope this does come out indeed.
ReplyDeleteI believe Taylor voted for the Azzhole, but I don't think she contributed to it's pac. She has many more options for tax deductible contributions and has demonstrated generousity with children's charities.
ReplyDeleteBut I do think the pac was the repugs orange boy.
ReplyDeleteDonating to a PAC isn't tax deductible.
ReplyDeleteI honestly can't believe the hypocrisy. I want people to just be who they are. Free and as open as they desire (or not public if that is their preference). ReplyDeleteWe aren't shaming. Just acknowledging the inevitable backlash that his supporters will eventually experience. I don't envy them, and certainly hope they can all come to terms with it.
ReplyDeleteTaylor was an Obama supporter. It 's not her, or else this just another lie. Anyone who believes all the blinds is stupid.
ReplyDeleteCarrie Underwood. She is real conservative.
ReplyDeleteWhoever it is I hope it does surface. I'd like it to be Taylor but it would be hilarious if it was Katy Perry.
ReplyDeleteKaty Perry was a HUGE hills supporter and Katy is a genuine and kind person. This is the great white fake feminist, Swifty.

ReplyDeleteand what is wrong with being a Republican or to have voted for Trump? The liberals are such bullies!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be hilarious if it was her. I hope it's her.

ReplyDeleteIt still beats any of the washed up FemiNazi's Hags that gave to the Cunt & Clinton Crime Foundation. BTW, has Cher left for Mars yet?
ReplyDeleteDon't let Hollywood and the libtards bully you Tay Tay. You support whatever you believe in. They're no different than grade school bullies.
ReplyDeleteI would have thought hillary was right wing enough for even taylor to vote for. Still, i wouldn't be surprised.
ReplyDeleteThe only bullying I see is of liberals who dare to voice an opinion that Trump fans don't like. Anyone who posts anything anti-Trump online at the moment gets absolutely jumped on.

• Kim Kardashian West (of "KIMSA Princess, Inc", apparently) gave $15,000 to the DNC in 2014. BeyoncĂ© Knowles-Carter ("entrepreneur") gave the maximum $2700 to Hillary Clinton in 2015. But neither gave anything last year. Where were they when Hillary need them? Or did the husbands veto any further spending? (Still think HRC had to pay Jay-Z for that last-minute concert he and Bey did for Hillary's last-gasp "celebrities love me…why don't you??" push. But that's JMO.)
