Blind Item #3 -SAG Awards
This A- list dual threat actress gave a highlight worthy speech last night, but maybe her best effort was backstage. She was walking with a PR person. A guy looked down at the cleavage of the PR person on display and asked her if he could motorboat her later. Our actress went off on the guy and had to be held back from hitting him.

ReplyDeleteI don't know who this is, but SAG-Aftra is essentially the actors' union, right? So this is essentially a union dinner, give or take a few awards? So this person was openly sexually harassing someone, at a union event? It says a lot about the strength of their union, doesn't it?

ReplyDeleteStill, they do regulate and ensure people get their sides 24 in advance to auditions in the US. Down where I live, auditions are just model cattle calls. Nobody actually cares about skills.
It says "a guy" & does not say it was another actor. While a union award show it is still televised and has teamsters and writers backstage running the show. The guy was talking to the PR person & not the actress. Because it was not the actress the man may have thought it was ok to harass her. Men in general around the entire country have been getting more bold with their sexual harassment, but there is also a green room with free booze at these award shows.
ReplyDeleteThe alcohol probably had more to do with this & had nothing to do with the strength of their union. From what my agent brother says the unions in Hollywood are pretty powerful, at least for the directors, producers, and actors unions.
Viola Davis, although she is a triple threat - movies, TV, and theater.
