Blind Item #2
As is her norm, whenever this A+ list singer is asked to do something noble for a cause like refuse to perform or donate her pay, she will refuse. Actually, she won't even refuse, she just does not respond. If the money is right and the check clears, she will perform for anyone.
Madonna just did a charity event

ReplyDeleteCompare and contrast with George Michael who has been revealed to have anonymously supported countless charities and individuals on the D.L. and will probably leave the bulk of his £100m+ estate to good causes.
ReplyDeleteDon't think it's Madonna- Despite her becoming more and more unbearable (and this is coming from a HUGE former fan), there have always been stories about her being quite charitable behind the scenes. Raising Malawi is a charity SHE started, so she wouldn't have been paid to perform. I believe she actually raised over $7 million the night of the "clown costume" event.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of Madonna as a hired entertainment gimmick. The woman isn't exactly available for birthday parties.
ReplyDeleteNow, Maria or J-Lo...
@lomgtimereader I so agree- the more I read about GM the sadder I become because he seems such a sensitive, good soul (aside from massive talent that is lost). . Prince ,Bowie and he hit hard for me because they were all humble, generous of spirit and fortune, and---reserved.The absolute opposite of say ---Madonna,Mariah Gaga (god lotsvof "a's lol).
ReplyDeleteJ-Lo, Mariah or Adele.
ReplyDeleteAll entertainers are available for "birthday parties" i.e. to hire privately.
ReplyDeleteAnd (bad) people, who have the wealth of small (looted) nations, are the few who can afford the fee.
