This foreign born celebrity chef looked at one point like he might try and overtake Gordon. Nope. Now, even though he has expanded his presence on television to multiple shows, the audience still doesn't really like him; the women in his life hate him; and the restaurants he is always announcing are going to open, fail to do so because no one wants to do business with him.

ReplyDeleteIrvine's restaurant has not actually opened yet. He announced it in May of this year, and it's currently slated to open in June or July of 2017. FWIW - Irvine has had two restaurants in the South Carolina area (Robert Irvine's Eat! and Robert Irvine's Nosh) that both closed within a few years of opening. His current wife is a former WWE wrestler (Gail Kim), and he has an ex-wife. The Talk show angle does make him seem like an option. Jamie Oliver doesn't really have a ton of new shows (he guests on a lot of programs), and he has chains of restaurants all over the world.
ReplyDeleteDamn, the only male chef I know is that greasy bloke who reminds me of harvey weinstein in terms of sex appeal, I google for his name, and he was born in Seattle despite his surname Batali and his restaurant Eataly.
ReplyDeleteI am going to go with James Martin (he is a UK cook). Anyways, I watch loads of cooking shows (they're pornography for fat people), and I can tell his guests despise him (really don't like him).
