This permanent A list singer in a permanent A list group is dying. He recently bailed on a very high profile gig and is trying to organize one last farewell show.
I just saw him live in the last month or so on his Pet Sounds Tour and he seemed great. I had seen him 7 years ago and he seemed in a much better place this time around. This would indeed be horrifying if true.
awww..rip.Man From U.N.C.L.E. had such a great premise.fun show. -He was in an ad here promoting a law firm and i thought wow, that firm must've done some damn fine work for him to be doing a commercial for them b/c it's pretty unusual to see celebs shilling a law firm...fast-forward to various travels to FLA.,NY,CA,.UT.,DC., etc...& swear to god, there he was doing ads for Law Firms in those States too, lol.. -I wonder if David McCallum & he stayed in touch...he's 83 too-i always thought that he was alot younger than Vaughn.
Strange both of them were on As The World Turns at different times. I know somebody who knew Robert Vaughn and around 1995 he was upset that he couldn't get hired for work. He thought he was typecast. So the law firm ads were a way to pay his bills. McCallum was a sexy guy back then and looked pretty good as he got old, but he gained weight and got grey and looked different. Vaughn tried to look the same as he was young.
Not a fan of the BBs. But a lot of people will be shocked. But it seems like whenever entry says someone is going to die, it just doesn't happen (not that I was disappointed or anything, just led down the exit poll path). Remember the whole Michael Douglas thing?
@ Shorny, actually, Enty has been too accurate sometimes, Micheal Douglas had stage four cancer and so far beat the odds..The National Enquierer puts out a list so long they are bound to be right sometimes.
Well, he's still alive. I don't appreciate your saying he's dying without any additional info. You may have heard something and could very well be correct but is it right to do so? I don't think so.
He was performing in Sweden a few days ago and looked fine. He will be touring for a at least another 6-7 months for the 50th anniversary of Pet Sounds, not bad for a dying man.
Yes, still on tour, and still doing fine, more than one year after this blind. I don't appreciate either you posting things about dying people who are not.
He's active on twitter as of two hours ago, so.......
ReplyDeleteOT in a way but topic is death:
ReplyDeleteRIP Robert Vaughn, Napoleon Solo on The Man From U.N.C.L.E. He was 83.
Thank God 2016 is nearly over.

ReplyDelete@sandy 2016 was certainly a craptastic year all around, but I'm not sure I'm looking forward much to 2017 either.
ReplyDeleteyeah it may turn out much much worse.

ReplyDeleteFor the past decade of so, he's been doing ambulance-chaser ads. =\

Dying from what? I know he has developed severe mental illness perhaps from excessive drug use over the years...
ReplyDelete: ( -he was always very distinguished looking til the end.

ReplyDelete3 years later... still touring. What's the deadline for someone who is "dying"?
