Blind Items Revealed #4 - Anniversary Month

February 20, 2012

Back in the day there used to be fan club presidents. This late 70's A list tweener singer and fan club favorite would change his fan club president every six months to a year. No other celebrity got so involved with his fan club. He would go to meetings and communicate directly with them all the time. The reason? He wanted to sleep with them all. He came from such a goody goody background that the only time he could have any fun or have sex or party was at these fan club “meetings.” I wouldn't be surprised if he has a couple of kids out there too because someone had to explain to him what a condom was after he had been doing this for about a year.

Donny Osmond

Donny Osmond wasn't really a tweener in the late 70s and got married in 1978. He's been married to her ever since.

I was gonna say the same thing, Sandy. I'm an old and I was a Donny fan in 1970. That said, I could see hom doing this mid-70's when the fame had died down and he was in his late teens.

I agree, most of those girls were probably very willing participants in any case.

I hope Marie was getting some too. (But not from Donny!)

  8. Looks like Donny was the one who was "a little bit c**try", instead of a little bit rock n roll! ;)

  9. One of my very first boy-crushes was on Donny. I listened to his solo album till the grooves wore out. I pretended to listen because my sister wanted to, but it was because I was secretly in love with him :D The other one that made my heart go pitter-pat was Tony DeFranco. If you know who he is, then you are really old like me :)

The Donny and Marie show was on during the late seventies, with a different type of audience, including older fans. Like many of Enty's blinds, it's probably true but exaggerated. Enty didn't get this first hand as he was a mere child at the time. Also, in the seventies, just about every young woman was on the pill, they used to give it for acne even, so the dig about the babies is a joke.

OMG! Tony DeFranco! I had the hugest crush on him in fifth grade when that song came out. I dont think they did anything else but that album. I heard it a few months ago on some Sirius radio station of the 70s. My bf, who is 4 critical music years older than me thought I was NUTS when I turned it up.
Heartbeat, it's a love beat, and when we meet, it's a good sensation. Listen to my heart pound. Listen to my love sound.

What lyrics! (She said facetiously )

I think that was the same year as Seasons in the Sun, which I also loved.

I think that might have been after the peak of the Osmond Brothers and before the Donny and Marie show. But I could be wrong.

Came out the same year, I think

OMG. @ blue eyes @ Ryan.that Di franco guy was a doll. Tiger beat woukd have him on the cover and he was dreamy. Im glad to hear that Donny was Normal and had some action. His wife is really pretty from what i remember. Lots of laughs about all the comments above. Big fan of the 70's music scene. Fun times for sure

Actually I have a Donny story. When I was in high school back in the late 70's Donny would hit our town (rapid city s.d.) and one day my dad bumped into him on Main Street. They got to talking and realized they shared a birthday.

The nice part is, a year later they bumped into each other again at the same place - and Donny remembered my dad. Dad always said he was the nicest guy.
