Blind Item #10 - Kindness
Before he became an actor, he was a policeman. Before he was a policeman, this recurring actor on a network superhero show was just a regular guy who, during 9/11 was trying to rescue survivors from the World Trade Center.

Whoever he is, thank you.
ReplyDeleteSteve Buscemi!
ReplyDeleteFirefighter, not cop.
ReplyDeleteThe only NY cop who became an actor I know of is Bo Dietl, but I don't think he's on a show right now. He did work at the WTC back then too.
ReplyDeleteTIL!

ReplyDeleteThis blind looks like Steve Buscemi's fireman past .
ReplyDeleteJ.W. Cortes (plays Alvarez on Gotham)
ReplyDelete100% agree
ReplyDeleteThis was well publicized here in NYC. Yes it was Buscemi, and yes, he was a firefighter, not a cop. Engine Co. 55 in Manhattan's Little Italy.
ReplyDeleteWow RESPECT.
ReplyDeleteIt's the guy who always plays Italian. I'll remember his name at some point. Tall, dark, always has a good attitude.
ReplyDeleteFrom boston. 'No cure for cancer' is still one of my fave comedy shows.
