Apparently this barely still hanging on to A list mostly movie actress told her PR team to get her in the news so they decided to push out some BS story about her helping out a soon to be divorcing couple. The fact that both parties hate her with a passion and have not been shy about saying it, probably should have been discussed before putting the story out.
Gwyneth Paltrow/Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie
Poor Goopy, only a legend in her own mind.
ReplyDeleteWhen in Hollywood, don't believe your own publicity!
ReplyDeleteWhy did GP and Brad break up? Did that story every come out?
ReplyDeleteWhile I have never been a fan, I re-watched SYLVIA last night and found her performance truly heartfelt. Of course the only reason I ever watch it is for Daniel Craig, she does an excellent job in this film. I don't know where she veered off this road and onto the freeway of BS but she has. Maybe after The Talented Mr. Ripley. Everything since has been phoned in. She's fortunate she has made another career for herself outside of films. Most actresses just disappear. Good for her.
ReplyDeleteLuke so many before her, she got to full of herself.
ReplyDeleteIn the 90's.
ReplyDelete^Like...
ReplyDeleteDoes she think she's some divorce guru now?
ReplyDeleteAs much as i cannot stand her public persona, Paltrow is a good actress, nothing exceptional, but good...anyway, since for some uknown reason ( cough- Weinstein- cough ) she has won an Oscar, wouldn't that make her ( unfortunately) a permanent A List?
ReplyDeleteWord is she cheated and was a gentleman about it(kept it private out of tabloids) to which she said he was "beyond reproach " e.g. She screwed up....but they cited it busy careers or such as the "reason"
ReplyDeleteVery good i agree
ReplyDeletetwo 'nepotistas', one is a better actress - goopster, jolie is/was a horrible actress...
ReplyDeleteboth r hated as a 'public persona' for a different & similar reasons...
I find Goop's current public persona extremely annoying, but I did like her version of Jane Austen's "Emma" the best. Come to think of it, her personality might make her a shoo-in to play Emma, who is a bit of a busybody.
ReplyDeleteShe cheated, but the story put out made him look dumb and unsophisticated , not in her league.
ReplyDeleteLoved her in The Talented Mr Ripley but then again EVERYONE in that movie is at the top of their game. I also loved her in A Perfect Murder AND Two Lovers. She actually is talented and watchable on screen, she has not hacked her face into the joker so points for that. THE REST OF HER just seems like a big wooden board lodged up my ass. Painful and no fun.
ReplyDeleteSame! That little collection of films you cite, plus Se7en w/Pitt and Sir Morgan Freeman. In the diner scene when Det. Somerset tells Gwynnie to "...spoil that kid every chance you get.." -- heartrending!
ReplyDeleteAlso adored her in the video for Melissa Etheredge classic 'Come to My Window.'
Ms. Paltrow is gorgeous, smart, and talented at many things.
ReplyDeleteI like her for the most part, but in that PBS series about cooking in Spain, in one segment she only spoke to Mario Batali, and completely ignored Bitman ? and the female Spanish chef. Would not even make eye contact. Very odd she let that be on film for everyone to see.
It says both parties hate her and are not shy about showing it. Does anyone have a link to them talking shit about her?
ReplyDeleteLove the user name.
ReplyDeleteHer crowning achievement was as Margo in The Royal Tenebaums.
ReplyDeleteWasn't there a rumour that affleck found out about her hooking up with harvey W during the filming of her oscar movie in the UK?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Goopsters PR got wind of this blind. Hey guys.
ReplyDeleteNever heard about that, but if thrue it would be funny: Ben Affleck, the Supreme Cheater or so, finds out about a woman cheating on him. Good:)
