This big movie studio is paying out some large “consulting” fees this week and for probably the rest of the year to community leaders who get a lot of time on television to try and turn the tide of a movie in a positive direction.
Fox Searchlight/Birth Of A Nation
They're wasting their money. One read of the court transcripts and you can see Parker got away with rape.
ReplyDeleteNobody really wants to support a rapist so that's not going to work.
ReplyDelete"Nobody really wants to support a rapist". Alleged rapist, like bill c. And yes, they are supported.
ReplyDeleteRegardless if he is a rapist or not, he comes across as an arrogant, phony jerk who thinks his film is the most important piece of work in the last century.
ReplyDeleteFlopped.
ReplyDeleteIt will win the Oscar no matter how much it sucks because of last year's "the Oscars are racist" baloney. Leftists are terrified of the R word.
ReplyDeleteSorry someone pissed in your cornflakes.but we didn't do it so please, STFU!
ReplyDeleteYup..just like billly Clinton rapists who get away with rape
ReplyDeletenot necessarily..there are some good movies yet to come out-A United Kingdom for one.
ReplyDeleteIt's not even that, the movie isn't really that great! It isn't going to win any top awards, they're literally just doubling down because this is their Oscar movie this year. They should have given it a limited release and then save their resources and effort for something better next year.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe that they also didn't look into his background or any potential things that might come up during a publicity tour when they first bought the movie. But then again, everyone can easily get caught up in Sundance hype, and just saw this as their next big thing without thinking twice.
If consent means your a rapist then there are a lot more rapists walking about. Regardless of whether the film flopped people will watch it eventually and history's truth will be told and that is the most important thing.
