Blind Item #7
Confined to a couple of hosting gigs several times a year, this mogul wants a full-time job in front of a camera. He likes being the center of attention and thinks being on air is the only way that will happen. He has never been able to make it on his own though on television. His only success has been ancillary to others.
Ricky Gervais
ReplyDeleteBut don't believe it:(
He and Stephan Merchant parted ways, and he was a big part of his success though, in truth. They are phenomenal together.
ReplyDeletePitbull?
ReplyDeleteIs this Seacrest?
ReplyDeleteYes, Seacrest . American Idol gig canceled.
ReplyDeleteThat's true- couldn't figure out what making it on his own meant but he had a talk show didn't he? For a season/minute I think?
ReplyDeleteRicky Gervais is a mogul?
ReplyDeleteSide from the acting and his start in radio-he writes, produces , directs (has successfully done all areas of media), so by definition ("an important or powerful person in the motion picture or media industry")- I'd say yea.
ReplyDeleteHe also very notably purchased and moved into a 10.5 million pound home- one of the most lavish and expensive in recent history in London(Hempstead)He's doing something right it seems. However, I also think he isn't as strong without Merchant.
ReplyDelete**Hampstead **
ReplyDeleteThat squatty, Lego-haired little Mark Cuban?
ReplyDeleteIm think this is ryan seacrest
ReplyDeleteMark Cuban? He doesn't host, but his only on-camera success has been Shark Tank. I think he would love to have his own show. (He actually tried to make it as an actor before he got into the tech field)
ReplyDeleteIt's not Seacrest, he's his own production business it's not Cowell either. Who is hosting the hip hop awards this week?
ReplyDeleteSnoop Dogg my answer.
ReplyDeleteBilly Bush
ReplyDeletei.e. the london 'beverly hills' where the likes of tim burton and ridley scott live plus pretty much every famous UK person.
ReplyDeleteSnoop's got a gig with his pal, Martha Stewart. I don't think of him as especially attention-seeking.
ReplyDelete@sandybrook
ReplyDeletethis is why I disagree and it's Seacrest

Seacrest...
ReplyDeleteHosting gigs: Red Carpet Specials and New Year's Rocking Eve
Couldn't make it on his own: TV Talk Show, Million Second Quiz
Ancillary to others: American Idol cancelled, E! News

ReplyDeletedo you EVER STFU Moron??????????
And the most powerful man in radio, via "On Air with Ryan Seacrest", the "America's Top 40 Countdown" show and the iHeartRadio network (which comes with its own set of awards). He's doing just fine, thank you.
ReplyDeleteUnneccessary comment, Derek.
ReplyDeleteHe has a radio show, which could be a play on words for the last part of the first sentence, moving to "in front of the camera" rather than no camera at all.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but there's a certain illure that comes from being on camera vs. being a radio voice.
