Blind Item #6

It has been a bad couple of years for this former A list mostly movie actor. Yes, he does have an ongoing role in a franchise after failing in another, but his personal issues have dragged him down. The closeted actor thinks he needs to find another woman and go full on beard for awhile to restore his brand.

Not sure Renner has had a bad couple of years - his last 3 movies (Civil War, MI, Age of Ultron) have made a fortune, and his two before that (American hustle and Kill tHe Messanger) were huge critics favorites.

I don't wanna hurt Cubs' feelings since she answered here, but Zac Efron fits this BI--ongoing franchise Neighbors, High School High no longer filming, a few movie bombs like Dave and Mike.

  5. Ditto this guess

MI being the successful franchise, Jack Reacher being the failed franchise

  6. I love that Jim parsons is out, plays a straight character, and is the highest paid actor on television. Whomever this blind is referring to: It's time to come out already. The longer you stay in the closet, the longer this ideal that you have to appear to be straight to be believable as any character is perpetuated. Enough.

Then again, I'm always in the line of thinking that it's none of our business anyway... So if you want to stay private, I'm down with that but... Stop bearding

I think it is Renner and it is interesting that Lizzie Olsen is also target today, because there is a recent photo of her partying at Renner's house and a fairly recent blind about her been seen hiking with and getting physical with another 'super' actor. This would be a pairing Enty would struggle to explain.

I would think Renner but his bad year is him being a douchebag to women, not failing films. Even Bourne Legacy did well so it's not that. For the love of god, Jeremy, come out! Be happy in your life and work - no-one gives a s**t if you're gay or straight.

  9. Cruise is easily A+, so I don't think so.

It makes me furious, because TC is NOT Jack Reacher, but the first movie made a shit-ton of movie and the sequel is coming out. Not failed at all. :(

Calling Sheldon straight is an overstatement, unless the 10th season has change him a lot, he has only had sex once with Blossom, and he preferred to be watching star wars instead. His character is sexless like Jessica Chastain or a Catholic nun.

+ 1. I always thought Sheldon was asexual.

Chris Pine- Star Trek being the ongoing franchise/Horrible Bosses being failed(#2 truly sucked ) last couple films "He'll or High Water" and The Finest Hours definitely were not commercial successes don't think. Last beard was that Icelandic beauty queen(Olivia Munn before that)... just a guess- not sure he former A but it's Enty:(

    +1-that works.

  20. Parsons is one of my favorites but is not in competition for romantic leading man roles like Renner. I don't care what his orientation is but when you're doing high stakes rolling, you can't come out, sad but true. I also don't care if people beard. We have no right to demand people live the way we see fit. They are entitled to make their own decisions.

I took the personal issues as having to remain in the closet? (which it seems he has had to unfortunately. )Also what Haywood Jablomee is correct and I remember him saying recently in an interview he never really drank in his youth, early years in Hollywood and was so boring etc, seemed like he was making an excuse about what he's doing now(remember the recent blind about him going to a photocall in the previous nights suit). Likely some one else, just something about him that makes me think he would stay in the closet in order to remain a bankable movie star.

yeah true...but still,he doesn't need to 'improve his brand' -he's costarring in the DC "Wonder Woman" movie as her love interest=huge role to get

    oops. "RESTORE his brand"

+1000- I've said that on here more than once. It's very strange when complete strangers urge others, esp. celebs ,to come out or not to use a beard,etc...it's their friggin' life & they're doing what they're doing for their own reasons-it doesn't matter nor is it our business to know WHAT the reason is,let alone JUDGE it...so wierd that people think they know what's best for total strangers.

  25. Good point .. I hate that some feel like they can't just be who they are. I'm glad parsons has been so successful and so out :)

Renner's friend has been with him at Venice, TIFF and now LFF. He was even on the red carpet in Venice. This Renner is deep in the closet stuff was always rubbish. He has said once, I believe, that he isn't gay and implied it on a few other occasions. If that is a lie then so be it, but he doesn't hide Winters away, he just doesn't flaunt it, any more than he flaunts his relationships with women, whatever their nature. Also he has started doing a lot of things other than acting and has been quoted as saying that he is really happy knowing he never has to take another acting job again if he doesn't want to. Does this sound like a man who is struggling and out of desperation is about to launch into a full public bearding relationship to improve his image? Now he has secure shared custody of his daughter I don't think HE gives a s**t what anyone thinks.

I agree too. We only think we know and even if we are right, it is up to them how they live their lives.
