Blind Item #6

This former television actor from an iconic show turned mostly movie actor who even had a franchise was making the rounds of an area in this foreign business city. He and a pal were out scoring some hash from the locals. Everyone wanted to sell to him and kept calling him by his franchise character's name.

    TRUE STORY: Back in '72 I was in Miami on assignment from London. I was renting a small house. Got hungry one night for Dinty Moore Hash. Walking to market when a new friend stopped me and asked where I was going. Replied: Goin' to buy some hash. His eyes lit up and said he'd drive me. And, by the way, could he join me? Went to the store, he was right behind me, found the hash aisle, bought a couple of cans. Got into the car. So where's your has connection? I pointed to the bag. He looked in and saw the two cans. WHAT?!! Then he told me what he thought I was buying! A very disappointed guy came home and ate eggs and hash with me. I'll never forget that night. So funny.

    Many Muslims smoke cannabis. I had a Muslim boss that did. It really depends on the country. I can imagine in Dubai that the rich and famous have no trouble skirting the laws, Dubai wants them to come.

    Getting caught with cannabis in Dubai is years in prison with only bars and a bed. Four to five years in hell-hole, apparently.
