Blind Item #11
This couture company paid a significant amount of money to procure this acting award for one of the faces of their brand. The actress, a B+ lister from that franchise made it part of her most recent deal with the company.

Kristen Stewart/Chanel and the Cesar? Dunno if its recent
ReplyDeleteKstew is the face of something...the Cesar award?
ReplyDeleteTricia and I nailed it!
ReplyDeleteI guess she's B+now officially @Zilla:)
ReplyDeleteJust watched her in Still Alice and she held her own, but I just don't "get it" I guess.... many more talented or- vibrant is a better word- actresses out there
Natalie Portman and JLaw are faces of high end brands but are hardly B list. Will never understand the fascination for Miss Stewart. She looks awkward as heck in everything she wears. Gawky. Not pretty. What's the deal?
ReplyDeleteI think she is beautiful, her eyes are stunning. I also think she is a good actress POST Twilight
ReplyDeleteKS and probably Oscar, she's desperate to be recognized for her lack of acting skills (and personality too).
ReplyDeleteBS if it is about Stewart and her Cesar. She was praised by the critics and Asassays is liked a lot by the Cesar academy
ReplyDeleteMaybe you've seen her in different things than I have. Welcome to the Rileys and The Runaways were both painful for me to watch.
ReplyDeleteI like her. I like that she's not a cookie-cutter anything. I like that she doesn't think she owes the public the keys to her life.
ReplyDeleteI don't have much of an opinion on her acting, because it's probably influenced by what I like about what she projects as a person.
A woman with zero f@cks to give doesn't have an easy road in life.
TBH, never heard of the César awards being influenced by money. If we were talking Golden Globes, I'd 100% believe that the "Hollywood Foreign Press" could be bought (money, photo-ops, ass-kissing, you name it). Even word that Oscars can be bought (or at least, without big $$ spending, a nomination isn't going to happen). Never heard anything like that about the César's.
ReplyDeleteI get that a bunch of people don't like KStew, but critics love her - she was apparently on the short list to get "Best Actress" at Cannes for Clouds of Sils Maria. To me, that says that enough people find her talented, that a César award was certainly possible. On top of that, Chanel has so many brand ambassadors - would they REALLY spend a huge amount of money just to get an award for ONE of them? It doesn't make sense.
I'm calling this one a BS item, sent in by one of the many people who would like to see her fail.
The Cesar win was not recent, it was two years ago. And the critics, in France loved her, Juliette and the movie. The fact that a top American actor made a small indie foreign movie, captured the attention of voters.
ReplyDeleteShe was really good in 'adventureland' as well.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, it's Kristen Stewart...word on the street is that Stewart is downright obsessive about winning an Oscar or, at least a nomination. Stewart (her PR team, etc.,...) is currently paying through the nose paying off entertainment journalists, critics, etc.,...
ReplyDeleteStewart has her PR team run an article or two EVERY freaking week about how she is the greatest actress of her generation...this has been going on for about a year and a half now, just Google it.
It is all very calculated...I really hope the fact that this incredibly bland actress is exposed for the calculating fraud she is.
