This former A list mostly television actor who is probably B list acting wise but has A list name recognition because of that long long running hit network show had an intervention over the weekend. Friends and family and former co-stars all tried to convince the actor he needs rehab again. He blew them off.
Matthew Perry
I done care how booze-bendery he look, I'd return the favor and BLOW HIM OFF!
ReplyDeleteJunky/alcoholic for life. That guy is never going to get clean and stay clean. This has been going on for too many years. There were times on Friends when he looked like a walking corpse.
ReplyDeleteMost junkie/alkys need to hit rock-bottom before they think they have a problem. I doubt he's anywhere near that.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people with money don't hit bottom because they don't lose everything. He maybe isn't treating an underlying problem like mental illness, and I'm sure he has plenty of fake friends to keep him company.
ReplyDeleteUgh this makes me sad. I used to be involved with some charity tennis tournaments when I lived in LA, and Matthew Perry was always very humble & kind (even during his 'unstable' years). I hope he kicks this - opiates are the devil:(
ReplyDeleteI bet a million dollars Matthew Perry KNOWS he has a problem (anybody who'S spent years in sobriety, as he has, is well aware of their addiction/s), he just probably doesn't think it's bad enough or he's not in the mood/frame of mind to address them right now.
ReplyDeleteI fell off the wagon for a few years just because I was tired of dealing with and working at sobriety. Not because I didn't think I had a problem with alcohol.
