Blind Item #7 - Emmy Awards
This A- list mostly television actor who was a winner/nominee last night for a hit cable show was obviously on something. I asked AP about it and she said that when she saw him that he was one part of the night withdrawn and not talking to anyone and at other times was literally in the space of the person he was talking too within a couple of inches of their face. People were trying to back off when he was talking to them and he kept pushing forward. Not in a confrontational way, but she said it appeared he was on something too.
TJ Miller? Silicon Valley
ReplyDeleteNorman Reedus if nominated maybe
ReplyDeleteKit Harrington?
ReplyDeleteAziz Ansari or Rami Malek
ReplyDeleteSterling or Rami, both seemed really strange.
ReplyDeleteSadly I don't think TWD was nominated for anything. More viewers than any other show and never any nominations!
ReplyDeleteRami Malek
ReplyDeleteFocus.. oooh woozy.. um.. focus..? wot? Um, oh yeah I am talking to you now, congenial. sober and not gibberish guest and all that, like ace,.. focus @
ReplyDeleteI just saw a highlight of Rami from last night, I'll go with that guess
ReplyDeleteRami Malek looked & acted coked to nth degree, from the red carpet on.
ReplyDeleteDef. Sounds like Rami. I know a few people that have known him for a while and say that that's just his personality.
ReplyDeleteBoth Aziz and Rami appeared to be somewhat, um, altered - if you know what I mean.
ReplyDelete@Simon you are right. Didn't have a chance to watch them so wasn't sure what was up for anything. I can't believe they never had a nom? (Don't watch it) but I know it's massively loved.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love, love that show! Always wondered if since they film in Atlanta, they are not part of Hollywood elite and therefore, no noms.
ReplyDeleteWas Jim Carrey there? Sounds like him.
ReplyDeleteRami is a cute guy ppbut looking at him and his energy level suggests that he has an over active thyroid maybe. I.e. Marty Feldman but cuter
ReplyDeleterami wasnt on anything - he has a lisp that makes him sound drunk all the time
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure Aziz was just drunk. There's a bar backstage & he looked like someone that had been drinking to celebrate his win early in the night. Kimmell even made a comment about the early winners being the 1st to blackout or something along those lines.
ReplyDeleteRami Malek was NOT ON ANYTHING....he always talks like that & would never have been high at that event being nominated. He was with his cousin (& his family)& they were perfectly fine & he was charming & extremely polite
ReplyDeleteIts a Sci-Fi show, and "genre" shows rarely get noms. GOT is getting all the love from the academy members, and their just isn't enough air left in the room for another genre show. Further, TWD is like BTVS in that its first years were far better than the later seasons (which were still very good). TWD deserved some love in its first seasons, moreso than now.
ReplyDeleteNo...he had some kind of weird lisp last night. Something was off...like he had dental work done or something.
ReplyDeleteI think some of that's true, but I would argue Melissa mcbride is terrific and deserves a nom. Just my 2 cents.
ReplyDeleteI get what you're saying & you're probably right--i guess my emphasis was on the way he talked wasn't him being high...not so much the lisp...he answers questions with that same tone/lilt in his interviews/chats & his couch chats on USA ..i'm pretty much going by his interview on the red carpet & he was absolutely fine to me..( as you can see i like Rami & it seems like a cheap shot that on his big night,Enty insinuates that he was on something- as I've said before even though Enty's blinds are often bullcrap,i pick out a few to defend-this is one of 'em,lol).
ReplyDeleteSomeone above said he's always had the lisp. He obviously works to get rid of it when he's working, but when he's himself & shocked that he just won an Emmy he's probably not able to cover it up like he does when acting.
ReplyDeleteI'm also wondering how many people think it's him because of the "Tell me you guys are seeing this too," line at the start of his speech. That's a line from Mr. Robot when his character is talking to the viewers like they're a voice in his head (his character has depression & schizophrenia.)
