Blind Item #6
She really only had one big role back in the day. She got the role by sleeping with the lead who later became her husband. After the final installment of the franchise with her husband she never acted again. Divorced from her husband, she is experiencing the same behavior from her current boyfriend who beats her regularly. She went to the emergency room not long ago and said she had fallen down some stairs.
Kate Beckinsale :(
ReplyDeletenope, cancel that, she married the director, not her costar
ReplyDeleteI will never, ever understand why/how woman gravitate toward abusive men.
ReplyDeletehow far back in the day and which Entern wrote this since last week back in the day was 2011? :(
ReplyDeleteSondra Locke, ex being Clint?
ReplyDeleteLinda Kozlowski, Crocodile Dundee
ReplyDeleteThey never married, but have a child. She was ,in fact still married to someone else when they were together.
ReplyDeleteIf they grew up in a home with abuse, it can subconsciously become their model for love and family. Subconscious is very powerful (which isn't to say anyone determined to can't transcend its influence.)
ReplyDeleteSondra Locke and Eastwood did not marry, nor did they have a child. Wrong girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteLocke did not have any kids together. She claims she had two abortions at his insistence. Perhaps you're thinking of Frances Fisher? Mother of Francesca?
ReplyDeleteNever married, never had child together. She sued him for Palimony and stated he forced her to have several abortions.
ReplyDeleteTried to make Loni Anderson fit (WKRP in Cincinnati - inconsequential roles after that), but can't find the husband. Burt Reynolds and ???
ReplyDeleteGood guess..I didn't even remember her name
ReplyDeleteI used to think that, too, and statistics show a strong correlation. But statistics, alone, aren't enough. My now adult daughter grew up in a loving home, was never spanked (or struck in any manner). Imagine my horror when she called me in the middle of the night saying her husband had literally punched her out -- as in -- blacked out, seeing stars, on the floor - out. He'd become an addict, and we truly had no idea. Never in a million years did I think she'd keep something like that from me, but she did. It happened a year ago, and her father and I helped her obtain a 2-year restraining order against him, file all kinds of legal motions, and they divorced. Tough times, though. Cannot imagine someone staying, unless maybe it IS what they're used to :(
ReplyDeleteLinda Harrison, who played Nova in the original Planet of The Apes movies?
ReplyDeleteShe was married to Darryl Zanuck.
I mean, Richard Zanuck.
ReplyDeletenever mind, it said lead, not exec.
ReplyDeleteI stand corrected, they did not have a child together, that was indeed Francis Fisher.
ReplyDeleteAnd I grew up watching my father regularly hit my mother. When I was three, I saw him push her down the basement steps - her ankle was broken.
ReplyDeleteI have never and will never allow a partner to physically assault me. No how, no way.
So, you're right - it's very individual.
I'm sorry about your daughter - how's she doing now?
I wasn't raised in an abusive environment whatsoever. Quite the opposite. But imagine my surprise and disappointment when I found myself in a highly abusive relationship that lasted 3 years. Raped. Beaten. Cheated on. Mentally destroyed. It took me years to come out from under that and I'm still ashamed to this day that I was "that girl." It's not always what environment you were raised in...
ReplyDeleteHorrible. It's good that you finally got out.
ReplyDeleteKno, your story is heartbreaking...I'm so sorry you and your mom had to live through that. My daughter is better. She is now a single parent of three children, juggling a full time job, etc., but at least everyone's safe. I wish she lived closer so I could help more often, but she's a bright lights/big city girl now!
ReplyDelete@Courtney, you have nothing for which to be ashamed. You did nothing wrong. Remember the line from "Good Will Hunting" when Robin Williams tells Matt Damon, "It's not your fault," over and over. It's truly not your fault, and I'm glad you're safe now.
ReplyDeleteLinda Koslowski FOR SURE
ReplyDeleteDo you really think this is the right platform to disclose this information?
ReplyDeleteBeing that gossip/entertainment sites are primarily about people and relationships, I'm sure we all relate to the site posts in some way or another. If I don't relate to it, or don't find it amusing (Teen Moms, K's, Real Housewives), I scroll on by. So, the short answer is, "Yes, thank you for asking."
ReplyDeleteI love these and am happy that people feel comfortable enough to talk about it. I'm a lurker and will sometimes post, but this is absolutely relateable and tragic. I grew up the same - watched my dad push my mom down the stairs, woke up to him doing terrible things to her when I was very very young...It is possible to find love without history repeating itself. It was a horrible lesson to me in what I did not want and would not put up with in marriage. I'm lucky to have found my best friend. Married two years in October, together for 7 next April. I hope everyone finds their peace in tragic events. Thank you for the therapy.
ReplyDeletePffft, I'm glad you've found happiness! A little kindness goes a long way, even on platforms such as this one :)
