Blind Item #11
It is probably a mid-life crisis considering a recent milestone, but this foreign born A- list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee was trying to hang out with a bunch of barely 20 somethings over the weekend at an event and failing miserably. Everyone just wanted to give her a hug when they saw what she was doing. Complete opposite reaction whenever anyone sees the married one name singer trying to do the same thing.
Charlize
ReplyDeleteSalma Hayek/Fergie I heart radio
ReplyDeleteHer outfit was pretty baaaaad. Gotta say. I thought wtf?
ReplyDeleteFergie as the one named singer
ReplyDeleteHow sad. It's hard getting older for a woman.
ReplyDeleteDamn. 40 is old?
ReplyDeleteSome of the best looking people I know are in their 40's.
And they are smarter and have more money.
America is a weird place, we worship youth which is ignorant and pretty much useless overall.
And we claim anything above 30 is old, yet no one under 30 is really that interesting.
No wonder this county is in the state it's in.
Preach. Amen.
ReplyDeleteWell, if it is Salma, we're talking her recent (Sept 6th) 50th not 40. As for whether 40 is old it depends on your gender. At average life expectancy for 40 year old men is 38 years - in other words they have passed the half way point. The average life expectancy for 40 year old women is 42 years - so they are a year away from having more time before them than ahead of them. Psychologically there is the realization at 40 that you are at the half way point and that much of the future is "old" age (i.e. 60+) rather than youth (i.e. 20s). As you grow up there are always people younger than you. The impact of 40 is the realization that there is an entire generation of adults younger than you.
