ReplyDeleteThey played our Esplanade 4th of July god it was awful. Totally out of sync with the event and with the majority of the crowd. And a Boston crowd on the 4th is easy to please!
ReplyDeleteI believe it, I went to an outlet mall up in Chicago last weekend and Demi and Nick were scheduled to perform at the mall the next day.....lol so they're playing malls now.

ReplyDeleteProblem is, the current Disney watchers have no clue who they are. The kids who watched Disney when they were on are older now and not into that crap.

ReplyDeleteTickets cost too much. A lot of Boomers/Gen X-ers can afford not only a Billy Joel and a Adele, but then opt for a outdoor concert by Jimmy Buffett or Bonnie Raitt. Their kids - Demi and Nick's target audience -are going to be very choosy on concerts.
He should come out of the closet. That would open him up to a new very supportive audience . Look at the top artists like Beyoncé or Adele, they tend to have the gays stamp of approval and ( quite lucrative) support.
