Hard to believe but what is the asking price? That might be a determining factor.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I never got to see The Eagles in concert, but then again I'm sorry they were charging $700 and up for tickets.
Her venue in Edmonton could hold up to 60 000 people. At least half of the stadium was closed off, and still wasn't a sell out.
ReplyDeleteMaybe her people need to style an "Up Close and Personal" type of tour where she would play smaller venues like The Beacon in NYC, and she can pretend she is doing it as a favor to fans rather than that she is downsizing to venues she CAN fill.
ReplyDeleteNone of the stadiums are completely sold out because all seats aren't for sale. The reason is that you can't see the damn stage. Some of the venues are sold out based on the seats available. Not all of them are but the ones that aren't are pretty close to it.
ReplyDelete"Hey guys, here's a thought, let's place seats where you can't see the stage!"
ReplyDeleteThe floor seats in Detroit were upward of $250
ReplyDeleteI know someone who bought a couple extra pair of tickets for Bey & Jay's last stadium tour to & couldn't sell them. She ended up unloading them at the very last second for a fraction of the face value.
ReplyDeleteI paid $252 for a fourth row Don Henley ticket, (through TM, not a broker) but that's been a standard price for his shows for a while, I think.
ReplyDelete*remembers when I was into Duran Duran and the tickets were "only" around $65*
ReplyDeleteYep. The the good Ol days. And boy were(are) easy on the eyes as well.
ReplyDeleteThe UK shows were sold out, i couldn't get tickets.
ReplyDeleteTRICIA NAILED IT
ReplyDeleteHi. Long time reader, first time commenter. I read a story about this. What's happening is resellers are buying a bunch of tickets then trying to sell them on 3rd party websites for way more than face value. Sometimes they sell them, sometimes they don't. Either way it equals the official ticket sales showing a sold out show but no asses are actually in the seats.
ReplyDeleteis it just me or? i cant remember the last beyonce song I heard being a hit on the radio
ReplyDeleteanybody?
Last night at Lin-Manuel Miranda's final performance in HAMILTON, a seat sold for, wait for it, $35,000!!! But it was a good seat.
ReplyDeleteDrunk in love, but I hated that song.
ReplyDeleteI'm devastated I never got to see them, especially now that Glenn died. Tickets were 400+, but had I known he was going to die a few months later, I'd have paid it.
ReplyDeleteI think she tours too often. She and Jay Z just did that big tour when it was reported their marriage was over...probably just PR for buzz. Sometimes it's beneficial to go dark for a bit and let fans miss her performances. iMO, her music has gone down hill. It was much better when her dad was managing her.
ReplyDeleteI hate ticket prices in general these days. My daughter wants to see Taylor Swift (not with me, she's not) or Selena Gomez (ditto), but tickets are $100+ for nosebleeds. Ridiculous! She can just call up a YouTube video until she's making her own money. *L*
ReplyDeleteI remember that! And thinking that the price was too expensive back then, but compared to now......at least back then there was great music, unlike all this Jonas brothers or Lovato crap they have now.
ReplyDelete6 inch heels is a club fav.... also in heavy rotation (the clean version) on the radio...
ReplyDeleteI was listening to some of her old music yesterday and thinking how much better I liked it than anything she's done the last few years.
