This actress is probably best known for her work on Broadway. I think that is a great forum for her, but her comedy is better displayed in movies and television. She has been in some blinds in the past, but she has done something pretty remarkable. The actress, who is probably B+ list has raised close to $50M for charities. She plays so many events for free so the organizers can keep all the funds. She signs things they can sell. She does meet and greets they can sell. She is an unstoppable force who probably does almost as many paying gigs as non-paying in any given year.
Kristin Chenoweth
I continue to repeat myself: That's why it's called "charity" work instead of a "job".
ReplyDeleteGetting paid = simply doing a job for a charitable organization, it's *not* charity.
great, great, great
ReplyDeleteI love this - thank you for the reveal.
ReplyDelete+1 i sooo agree
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear this!
ReplyDeleteExcellent singing voice.
And you notice the Enterns no longer give us BIs about her being a diva etc.
ReplyDeleteI've mentioned this before on here but I thought I would again because of the reveal.
ReplyDeleteKristen recorded a song called Borrowed Angels written by Diane Warren. It's a beautiful song about someone who dies. Kristen was based in New York and I wrote to her and took a chance to ask her if she would be able to sing this song at a memorial for a family member. The timing didn't work out but she sent me this absolutely lovely handwritten card saying how the song helped her to deal with the loss of her own grandmother. It was post marked from California.
Diva or not, she took the time to write and send this card to a relative stranger. I don't think that is Diva attitude. I have much love for Kristen.

Thank you for this kindness blind. It's nice to know there are still some good people in this world. This is a seriously good one too.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Gives me hope for humanity
ReplyDeleteSo many people seem to have an irrational hate for her. I never understood it.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful.
