Blind Item #6
This designer sounding rapper nearly died in jail because he could not get the treatment he needed and his HIV+ status turned into full blown AIDS.

Gucci Mane
..or Desiigner?
There are too many designer-sounding rappers
Not buying this. They would have access to his HIV status in prison whether he wanted them to or not. If he has full blown AIDS , by definition he is being treated for a life threatening disease.
I agree this is him...but who the hell denied him treatment? That doesn't sound legit to me.
Never get an ice cream cone tattooed on your face, kids.
I agree.
Enty's medical knowledge isn't particularly extensive.
Not necessarily, he would have to disclose his status upon intake and he may not have. Prisoners have no rights about who can disclose their health issues so many choose not to tell, HIPPA rules don't apply to prisoners. Those who disclose can face retaliation from other inmates, guards, etc.
It says in the blind though that he couldn't get treatment. It didn't say he hid his condition. Wouldn't they segregate HIV inmate, know full well how it will be contracted in prison?
You'd be surprised with the latest ARVs available people can survive fairly well with full blown Aids even.
Whether this is true or not, the Federal Correctional Institution in Terre Haute, Indiana, lives by it's own rules and code of justice.
True, but to be diagnosed, he had to be treated. See what I mean. Can't be diagnosed without testing,or treatment. Gucci Mane claims he's in the best health of his life due to being sober, after just getting released.
Guesser, no, a recent federal court ruling out of Alabama said it violates human rights to segregate people with HIV/AIDS.
prisoners notoriously don't get their medication----at all, as prescribed, or on time.
One of your posters mentioned last week they believe most of the rappers are HIV+. I think he/she is right. All those hanger-ons betta get checked out, yo. Does Mama Kris have a live-in doctor whose only job it is is to give her girls (and boy) STD checks? Would make sense.
I didn't hear that ,thanks,I thought it would be for their protection as well.
She probably does. She protects her investments.
Full blown AIDS is an incorrect medical term that has been misused and misquoted for over a decade now. When you're hiv+ another medical condition can classify you as having an AIDS diagnosis. Full blown was an overdramatic term used a long time ago that doesn't make sense.
