This US gymnast managed to remain on the team despite her racist messages. The governing body chose to ignore it but did reprimand her for something else.
I don't know any gymnasts names, but I think the real question is whether they pull off the games at all..seems to have been plagued with nonstop problems
Was the message racist or is Enty trying to turn it into something? I don't know whose been doing better lately, but they may judge someone by their teamwork as well as they perform as individuals.
White people, basic rule of thumb, don't use the n word unless you are singing along to a drake song. Kinda like using the c word in front of a woman you don't know, it's poor form.
There a few reason she was placed on the team. The gymnasts & hardcore fans knew that the gymnast's place on the team was solely dependent on their trials scores. the NBC commentators pretend like a lot is at stake, but everyone knew who team was going to be. Gabby won silver AA at this year's worlds, the american cup, and did pretty well at every other meet. Her best skill is bars, which the US is "weak" in, and she can still bring in high scores in other events if needed. And don't even get me started on why Skinner shouldn't of even been an alternate (racist comments & bad sportsmanship aside).
MyKayla Skinner does not have a high bars score. I believe this is Martha Karolyi choosing Gabby Douglas over Ashton Locklear. So my guess is Ashton Locklear.
Or... did Gabby make a white people comment on her show?
MyKalyla Skinner maybe
ReplyDeleteShe is an alternate- maybe Aly Reisman
ReplyDeletealthough she's an alternate mykayla skinner. she got into trouble for retweeting tweets and images saying she should be on the team instead of gabby.
ReplyDeleteThx for info @elle B. I figured if she was an alternate maybe it was because she "did" something but had no clue what

ReplyDeleteAnd people thought that was racist? FFS. They're competitive by nature.

ReplyDeleteit's two different situations. a few months ago she used in the n word in a tweet.
ReplyDeleteAhh, I see, ty.

ReplyDeleteWell, Gabby is certainly not as great as she was. I wondered why she was placed on the team, as well. She did not have a good meet.
ReplyDeleteWhy would every woman feel bad if you use the word "cracker" like that charlie rangel asshole often does?

Shoot. I just read something about this, but I don't follow gymnastics, so I didnt care enough to remember. It was a comment about the Chinese.
ReplyDeleteGaby was already in commercials promoting the olympics before the trials ever happened. There was no way she wasn't going back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the background. I'm not very sporty, but do love to watch the gymnasts (male and female)/
