This daytime talk show host has no idea how close she was to being replaced by this Pretty Little Liars actress. It was a coin toss that weekend and the PLL actress was on standby to take over.

I like shay mitchelle but I don't see her replacing kelly.
ReplyDeleteI think Shay would actually be a really great choice. She does a lot of travelling, brand promotion, etc on her instagram account and has a decent following--I think she could make a more interesting show. I believe this.

ReplyDeleteKelly is smart enough to know that would never fly with her audience, all of whom would give a great big "Shay who"? in unison BTW. Like her or not, Live! fans were all very much on her side vs. ABC/D.
ReplyDeleteMe neither. How does this show still have an audience?! The only thing I can fathom is that it plays in the rooms of invalids who are not physically capable of changing the channel.
ReplyDeleteI watched the show when Shay hosted. She was really good. Most didn't know who Kelly was before she joined Live, unless you watch soaps. Kelly's gotten too full of herself and there are plenty of young, smart and pretty women who aren't anorexic that could replace her.
ReplyDeleteThis was reported at the time in The Daily Mail. But it was that she was set to take over just from the other stand in (I forget which actress it was) who had been filling in, not to actually take over Ripa's job.
ReplyDeleteKelly was a nobody to most of the world when she stepped in.
ReplyDeleteHa someone up thread was acting like viewers would never accept a replacement with such low name recognition. They probably have no clue who aregis is or that Kelly wasn't part of the show at all and certainly wasn't known for years and years. I mean she was a soap person with less name recognition than any Z-list reality star has today.
