There was sparse attendance at a farewell party for this reality star turned singer turned Academy Award winning actress after her last gig ended. She really burned a whole lot of bridges with the cast and crew.
All the drama surrounding her one atatement is crazy. She is the big name they were using to sell tickets. She's not saying they are untalented or beneath her, just that she's selling the tickets.
It is beyond difficult to be the female star of a show - there is this unconscious expectation of selflessness and lack of ego. My bf is a broadway pit musician and the difference in camaraderie between the male and female dressing rooms is CRAZY. Some jealousy is human, but often these stars have made their shows happen through countless backer auditions and they get little credit, aside from superficial cast applause.
She's gonna be doing her next tour on the Indian casino circuit.
ReplyDeleteHow man "reality star turned singer turned Academy Award winning actress"es are there anyway?
ReplyDeleteWorse for the cast and crew will be if the show tanks without her. Then she'll be proven right in saying that she carried them. Oy.
ReplyDeleteVIOLET NAILED IT
ReplyDeleteNot just casinos, but county fairs.
ReplyDelete"Just because I won an Oscar, doesn't make me great," said an Academy Award winning screenwriter. (Like to life times ago.)
