This A- list mostly television actor from a hit cable show had to be carried out of a Fleet Week party because he was so drunk. On the bright side, he didn’t do anything destructive.
A good friend of mine works on the show and says that Reedus is always super nice and a gentleman on set. His demons must come out after that first drink. It's a shame.
I was at a convention when The Walking Dead first hit and let's just say this isn't the first time Norman has had to be carried out of a bar because he was too drunk to walk. This guy has some serious demons.
I can't stand it when people use this as an excuse. I had a horrific childhood and managed to stay off drugs and I only drink once or twice a year. He's using it as an excuse to get shit faced.
I never said everyone is like me. I'm just tired of people using the shitty childhood excuse to justify bad behavior. Like who you like but realize no one is perfect. Yes even Norman Reedus is not perfect. He never will be. That's human nature. I'm just calling a spade a spade and saying it's an excuse and a tired one at that. Just because you have a shitty childhood does not give you license to be a shitty person.
Ok, I really don't get this; in previous posts everyone in the comments was like 'nahhhh, Norman is a nice guy, he is not a mean drunk / an alcoholic / I've met him, he was nice and didn't smell like booze' and now everyone suddenly has stories about him being drunk and smelling boozy? Huh?
He seems like a nice guy and I am surprised this is the only site that reports on him being drunk and acting like a fool; the man is stalked 24/7 by fans and not one single story of him being a boozy clown. He does like to stare at boobs I've heard and bangs a lot of chicks. He does look more and more terrible, especially compared to when TWD just started and that's not just aging. I can believe he has some sort of alcohol problem/lives very unhealthy.
Being an alcoholic doesn't automatically make you a shitty person. I've heard and heard and heard that Reedus is a nice guy, which is why people are genuinely concerned about what his drinking is doing to him.
I never once said we had the same type of shitty childhood. You don't know how shitty my childhood was. So you can't really say he had any worse or better than I did. It's still an excuse people use to justify his drinking. "Oh poor Norman he had a shitty childhood. Let's excuse his drunkenness and shitty behavior because of it." No screw that. I know people who've had it WAY worse than he did who are functioning members of society. As I keep saying it's an excuse. Simple as that.
Norman is a good dude. I seriously never ever hear stories like this and I know a lot of people who are in Norman's social circles. Does he drink? Yeah. Does he drink more than he should? Sometimes. But this whole thing with him getting so wasted that he has to be carried out...I can see this happening before TWD but now there are cameras and smartphones everywhere and I don't think he'd get away with this without someone posting about it on social media. It just makes me sad to see posts like this because he is such a good guy. And then you say that he showed up drunk to the Today Show which is so untrue. Norman Is professional. Okay back to your regularly scheduled programming before y'all start calling me a crazy fan or some shit.
Oh and he did not have a horrific childhood. His parents weren't together for very long and I think he moved around quite a bit, but I wouldn't call that horrific.
Are you people all retarded? This NEVER happened. There are literally hundreds of pics and vids from that event. He was not drunk, nor did he have to be carried out. He left on his own two feet on a shuttle with several other people.
People say NR is the nicest guy. What does that have to do with him having s drinking problem?? Lots of nice guys are alcoholics. Stop making excuses for the guy. He may not drink while working but he does drink excessively when out at a bar. And he does stupid things too bc of the drinking. One in particular was agreeing to do that ridiculous drunken staged pap walk with DK last week. Now if he was sober I doubt that he'd agreed to that stupidity. Ppl see him in a different light now. They don't respect & admire him anymore. He'd lost fans. He better grow up & act his middle-aged self & not that of a 20 yr old. He's pushing 50, has an impressionable teenaged boy at home & he's stumbling down the streets courting the paps with whom he's said he hates. Not a good look on ya, Reedus.
He's about 20 years past this kind of look and behavior being bad-boy sexy. Now he just looks like a stinking alcoholic.
ReplyDeleteFlayed it
ReplyDeleteGot it
ReplyDeleteMy friends love his show and have met him at conventions several times and say he is an awesome guy--though whiskey is always coming out his pores..

ReplyDeleteAlways heard he was super nice....and very funny. Just liked to drink a lot and da ladies. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "drunk as a sailor".
ReplyDeleteDitto.

ReplyDeleteAt least he's a friendly drunk
ReplyDeleteWhat is this BS? You're supposed to say "Nailed it!" And I'm not a hater, but "Got it" just sounds wrong.
ReplyDeleteHe had a horrific childhood. I know that.
ReplyDeleteI never understood why women love him until I watched walking dead and he does have something about him that is very sexy. I'm a fan lol

ReplyDeleteBecause everyone is just like you, T

What happened to him? Can't find anything decent/trustworthy about it..
ReplyDeleteYour shitty childhood isn't his shitty childhood. That's what you're not understanding.
