Blind Item #6 - BET Awards
This B list singer is on an A+ list label. Even though she has released some of her own recordings, she is on the label for one reason only. To write songs for the star of the label and keep her mouth shut about what her input is. If they want her to stay really quiet though, she should probably stop smoking meth. It makes her very chatty and very needy for new hits. She knows a LOT of secrets about the empire.
Tori Kelly Beyonce
ReplyDeleteJay Z/Beyonce and
ReplyDeleteSomeone writing songs for Beyonce?
ReplyDeleteRock a fella records- other singer-Remy Ma maybe
ReplyDeleteThing is, bey is not shy about acknowledging the fact that a team of writers help make her records, just like riri and katy. It's kinda S.O.P. for most pop acts these days. The writing credits these days look like the team sheet for a Swedish football team.
ReplyDeleteRight, but Tori Kelly was signed *only* to ghostwrite for Beyonce, reportedly. It's long been said that Beyonce doesn't write *at all* and hides that behind claiming Tori's work as her own.
ReplyDeleteIt has nothing to do with collaborations, it's about buying one person's life & career outright to cover for what's lacking in another's.
Empire? Yeah. They're building another Death Star. (Sorry, I could not resist)
ReplyDeleteBeyonce wants people to believe the words have deep meaning to her personal life, so if she wrote none of it, it would make people feel differently about her and the songs.
ReplyDeleteFirst off Beyonce is with Columbia Records, Tori Kelly is with Capitol Records. The only one on Columbia Records with Beyonce that has writing capabilities and "has released some of her own recordings" would be Alicia Keys...though Mariah could be hitting the pipe with her recent weight loss...
ReplyDeleteI was thinking maybe someone was signed as a writer only on Beyonce's private label. There has been some discussion as to whether Lemonade is on the Columbia contract. Having said that, I'm throwing out a really wild guess,Basement Baby, aka Solange Knowles. I remember hearing years ago that she may have written Bey's hits and was paid off.
ReplyDeleteAlicia Keys hasn't been on Columbia records since 1998 lol
ReplyDeleteAndrea Martin, who is signed to Hova's Roc Nation label - has had some success as a singer, but prior to hooking up with Jay was better known for writing #1s for SWV, Toni Braxton, Monica, En Vogue and a number of other acts.
ReplyDeleteAndra Day?
ReplyDeleteThat's who I meant!
ReplyDeleteGoogle "Andrea Martin" singer ... some of the pics of her in all white with beads (spiritual initiation?) look like yeah, she's def smoking something.

ReplyDeleteRoc Nation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roc_Nation
Roc Nation, LLC is an American entertainment company founded by rapper JAY Z in 2008. The company has offices in New York City, London and Los Angeles.
lol--I see the picture--could be her! Not sure if she was there--I know Tori was. Whomever it is-I would love to be sat next to her and spill the tea (gossip not the meth)
ReplyDelete+1 @Salaam. Good work. I started to look at Roc Nation/Rocka fellas roster but didn't know enough about the artists . She has an impressive track record!
ReplyDeleteOopsy LOL >_<
ReplyDeleteAre you seriously referencing Wikipedia dude LOL. Shes with Columbia records, feel free to check out their official site columbiarecords.com/artists/ Why dont you stick to your era of music David Bowie and leave these blinds for us kids.
ReplyDelete"Us kids?" need to GROW-UP. And how old do you think I am --cause I like Bowie I am an old man smh
ReplyDelete"Jay-Z is back in the UMG building. An announcement was made this morning confirming that Roc Nation has partnered with Universal Music Group in a multi-year deal. The agreement reportedly states that upcoming albums from Jay-Z and Rihanna will be released through the UMG/Roc Nation partnership. Through Def Jam, both artists have long maintained ties to UMG, however Jay-Z had inked a deal with Sony/Columbia Records, where Roc Nation released albums from J. Cole,Tori Kelly and Rita Ora."
