Blind Item #12 -Old Hollywood

This iconic A+ list movie actress who lived a very hidden life after leaving Hollywood mastered the art of not spending any of her own money. During almost her entire Hollywood run she charged/billed everything to whatever studio she was working for. Everything from mortgages to her utility bills. She would only eat at places that were willing to bill the studio for her meals. If the studio ever tried to deduct them from her salary she would threaten all kinds of nasty spillage of secrets.

    This is tough because both Garbo & Dietrich are Old Hollywood icons.
    I think Dietrich was a bit more devious than Garbo, though.

    When did Elizabeth Taylor do anything hidden? She lived her whole life in front of cameras. Marlene Dietrich had a long career as a nightclub performer after leaving Hollywood. This can only be Garbo.
