Blind Item #11

This A- list mostly movie actress is in danger of dropping even further. At one point she was getting close to A+ list before that awful choice. Anyway, she is hooking up with the married CEO worth billions.

    Elon Musk is the guy shooting off rockets at the Cape (Space X{ and also now owns one of the electric car companies (Tesla) and got rich from starting an Internet company. He's a genius.
    Its not raining here but its supposed to and getting dark.

    How is she A-list. She cant open a movie, never won (or even nominated for) a major award. And it has nothing to do with that Lovelace movie. The movie wasn't bad and was not panned by critics. It is not like Mariah Carey and Glitter or Kevin Costner and Waterworld--the movie had a very small budget. She is the definition of B-list. Always has been, likely always will be...

    I don't think she is A list either, but that movie has been talked about a lot as what made her star power go down a little bit. I don't know if it was bad or good but she isn't the first person to say it's because of Lovelace.

    Lovelace was the porn from the 1970s that made deep throat blow jobs famous. Any of Linda Lovelace's later work with feminists/against the porn industry has gone over like a lead balloon. Hollywood isn't porn but it's also not really pro-Andrea Dworkin et al.

    Which is to say it wasn't the movie itself that was the problem. It was the political nature of the subject matter. Something similar has happened with Emma Watson, though I think for her direct political comments.

    Yep. She's always been B list. I vaguely recall Enty/entards calling her A for a while when she was the blonde of the moment. I can't imagine he still does although you never know with him.

    The reviews were okay but I didn't see Lovelace. The lives of porn performers are awful and so depressing.

    She opened the movie about the girl helping a old lady meet her lost love and I loved her in Veronica Mars as Lily beautiful even with a head wound.

    I thought Amanda was excellent in CHLOE. That's the film made in Canada with Liam Neeson. While on location, his wife died. I'm pretty sure he wishes he never made it. I don't think he and his sons have ever really recovered from her death.
