He used to be the biggest star on the planet, but now this permanent A+ list mostly movie actor is trying to stay alive long enough to shoot what will be his last movie.

Such a long list at the Enquirer let's try Michael Douglas
ReplyDeleteBurt Reynolds?
ReplyDeleteBurt Reynolds
ReplyDeleteor daddy who will be 100 soon
ReplyDeleteTo be different, Harrison Ford?
ReplyDelete^^^^funny^^^^
ReplyDelete@pollu
ReplyDeleteburt's done tons of TV though. i was going to say redford but can't find anything he's doing except a documentary he's producing.
ReplyDeleteMichael J Fox?
ReplyDeleteHe just finished A.R.C.H.I.E.

Jack Nicholson?
ReplyDeleteNicholson retired. He isn't currently working on anything, according to IMDB.
ReplyDeleteBut he denied it. I hope it is untrue.

Would Burt Reynolds be A+? I think this is Michael Douglas.
ReplyDeleteBurt
ReplyDeleteHe was just in The Expendables 4
ReplyDeleteIt's not in his credits. Maybe he cameoed uncredited.
ReplyDeleteOh, I see. It isn't even an existing movie yet. With a lot of rumors as to who MIGHT be in it.
ReplyDeleteOr is supposed to be cast in it. It is on his Wikipedia page.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, sounds more like Warren Beatty to me. I just can't believe Burt Reynolds or Michael Douglas were ever in contention to be called their day's most famous star on the planet.
ReplyDeleteTravolta.
ReplyDeleteShit, I thought Burt Reynolds was dead.
ReplyDeleteFirst person I thought of was Michael Douglas.
Robert Redford.
ReplyDeleteBetween Deliverance, Longest Yard & Smokey & the Bandit, (not to mention Playgirl) I think Burt was absolutely A+ and arguably the most famous star on the planet for a time.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Burt's in shape to be filming anything - last I saw him a year or 2 ago he could hardly walk.
ReplyDeleteI think he was hot shit in the 70's...Smokey & the Bandit, Cannonball Run, Playgirl.
In the 70s, Burt was bigger...way bigger...than Clooney is today. And we'd all agree Clooney is one of the most famous actors on the planet. So...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess Clint Eastwood.
ReplyDelete*googles burt reynolds*
ReplyDeleteYaaaay mommie got it!!!
ReplyDeleteBurt Reynolds.
ReplyDeleteHe's filming a movie near my home soon. I want to say it's called "Dog Days", or something like that.
As for Burt being the biggest star on the planet at one point, it's true; he was the highest-grossing movie star of the 1970s.
Tom Cruise, Scientology has eventually managed to suck all the life out of him.
ReplyDeleteHe was absolutely huge for a time in the 70s, maybe early 80s. I was a little kid and I remember the hype about him.
ReplyDeleteYup, first actor to be offered a million for a role. Someone asked him if he though it was (some fancy word meaning wrong) to accept it and he said he thought it would be (threw the fancy word right back at them) to not accept it.
ReplyDeleteval kilmer?
ReplyDeleteCruise is still the biggest star on the planet or at least in contention.
ReplyDeleteThe word might have been immoral. I know it's not a very fancy word but I couldn't think of it.
ReplyDeleteIf it's Michael Douglas or his daddie, the RDJ was right in saying there's a special place in Hell reserved for these 2 POS.
ReplyDeleteIs Kirk Douglas working on anything?
ReplyDeleteYeah, funny, but...I'm betting PS Hoffman didn't think his last movie was going to be the last either.
ReplyDeleteI just googled and couldn't find anything so could you tell me what RDJ meant? Michael Douglas is one of my favorite actors and I always like him in interviews.
ReplyDeleteHello. Please google "Himmmm" and this site "Crazy Days and Nights".
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the information on your favorite actor and his dad.
Oh thanks... Lol that wasn't RDJ...
ReplyDeleteI would guess Reynolds because he really fits the rest of the criteria, but he had that four season run of Evening Shade which revolved around his character (and featured the late, fantastic Michael Jeter). I wouldn't call him mostly movie with a big TV feather like that in his cap.
ReplyDeleteRobert Downey Jr said there was a place in hell reserved for Michael & Kirk Douglas? When? Where? Link, please.
ReplyDelete@cinnabun if you missed the Himmmm bullshit, it was some poster who would tell dark stories about Hollywood while pretending to be Robert Downey Jr. He had a little fan club here and one poster even scammed people saying he was printing tee shirts with a phrase Himmmm said that everyone adopted as their catch phrase. It was so pathetic. RDJ was never here and Anon is a nutjob, I'm guessing TalksTooMuch.
ReplyDeleteGoogle the names like I did and all you'll see is movie promotion. What Anon is spewing was only on this site which is how you know it's made up.
Yep, a few months ago (before my last break) about RDJ supposedly posting here in the past. Can't remember name supposed to be RDJ, just that it wasn't him.
ReplyDeleteAlways thought it odd Discus, etc isn't used here. But then we wouldn't have the Sybil's either. ;-)
Thanks for the reply. *mwah*
Reynolds did TV before and after but in-between he was the biggest movie star in the world for a while. Huge. He was always a good guest on Carson - very funny.
ReplyDeleteI just want Kirk Douglas to fucking DIE already. Whatever good he did (Trumbo) everyone knows he raped Natalie Wood when she was a young teen and her sister won't out him until after he dies.
They did a t shirt with not now iron man with iron and man in symbols because of copyright. There was a website for the shirts and everything. He claimed he was going to donate some profits to the sister of a regular poster whose sister's baby was murdered by her husband. Needless to say, no money was donated, any many didn't get the shirts. This caused a massive exodus from the site, at least for a while, but as far as I know,Enty never explained what happened to this person.
ReplyDeleteHe came to mind immediately.
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for Michael Douglas. And I really loved him too, especially when he made "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "The China Syndrome."
ReplyDeleteI still remember the issue of Rolling Stone with Michael on the cover, with his young bride Diandra, who he met at Jimmy Carter's inauguration and married her a few weeks later, and their then baby son, Cameron, who turned out to be such trouble.... You would never have guessed it then, he was on top of the world then, a big hero to me.
Anthony Hopkins? He's shooting a movie now (Transformers).
