Apparently there is an almost network show that has quite the fan base. A very vocal fan base with two competing sides. Two sides that really dislike each other. Hate would normally be the word I would use but it is the holiday season. Anyway, lets back up and start at the beginning. When this show first began, the writers thought it was definitely going to go in one direction. The problem was that this B- list mostly television actress who is an offspring was thisclose to getting fired because she was so bad. She didn’t take it seriously and there was no chemistry between her and the lead. Instead of protesting what could be considered a demotion, she was pretty crafty and has spent the past several years formulating her plan. She has a group of men who work in various fields, whether it be publicity, production or management that have enjoyed her special talents. Not only has she rivaled the lead of the show for most media coverage, but she is set to be launched with her own show. She will be the star. That is what she has always wanted and now the new show will revolve around her.
As part of her wrangling behind the scenes, she wants some power. Producer power. She won’t be a showrunner, but she does want to have veto power over the stars who come on to the show. One of the people who won’t be making an appearance is the person who “replaced” her in one of the storylines. The two can’t stand each other. It is our B lister who has been pushing since last summer to have her killed off so that the star can have a new love interest. Possibly the new cast member coming to the show.
(I had to wait until after the episode where she is killed. Didn't want someone to complain about spoilers.)
Show: "Arrow"
B- list actress/offspring: Katie Cassidy (David Cassidy)
Lead: Stephen Amell
Her new show: "Legends of Tomorrow" (Laurel Lance/Black Canary)
Actress who "replaced" her: Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak)
New cast member: Megalyn Echikunwoke (Mari McCabe)
Haven't seen it yet, but thanks for the spoiler. :(
ReplyDeleteLaurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) is in DC's Legends of Tomorrow. In Episode 1 of Season 1 called "Pilot, Part 1". After that, the story revolves around other characters.
ReplyDeleteDid the men, sampling Katies "special talents" fail to provide her the gig? Ms. Cassidy's tweets indicate that she's on an extended holiday on the islands of Hawaii.
Tried to watch one episode of "Arrow," but it was so dumb, I have never seen another.
ReplyDeleteI thought she was good as "Ruby" on "Supernatural."
PPPPPPFFFFFTTTTT. The episode aired a month ago. Get off the internets if you want spoiler-free surfing in perpetuity for shows you don't even watch.
ReplyDeleteKatie's an awful actress
ReplyDeleteMwah. Kisses.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing, since LoT has launched and she wasn't the lead AND she's been killed off (and my OWN behind the scenes sources say its for good.....everyone on the shows hate her ????).....they didn't like her 'talents'? Plus, 'Vixen' came on the show and no new romance was hinted at ????
ReplyDeleteBS blind fueled by Olicity shippers wishes.
ReplyDeleteKatie is not going to have a new show, she rivals Stephen for publicity bc he doesn't do a lot in the first place.
How is she suppose to be leaving a show where everyone hates her and at the same time be trying to push for the death of a fan favorite? Doesn't make sense.
Esp for the new love interest to be someone who has only appeared in ONE epsiode (again not a new cast member just a guest star)
Vixen has her own online show and was never going to be a love interest on Arrow.
None of this makes a lick of sense. KC isn't on Legends, Caity Lotz is. Vixen was a guest star and has her own show. While I don't doubt the details on why she lost the Arrow job (I've been hearing rumblings about all that for years now), I think the info about Legends is way off the mark.
ReplyDeletelol this enty obviously doesnt watch Legends of Tomorrow, Katie Cassidy was on 1 episode, and hasn't been on since. It centers around all the other characters and her sister. Good job ent.
ReplyDeleteEmily Bett Rickards is fairly frequently posting pictures on social media of herself socializing with Katie Cassidy. Now, they're both professional actresses, and there's nothing stopping them from pretending to be bosom pals on the beach and out and about, but I see no advantage in it for either of them.
ReplyDeleteTwo C-listers out together will always have a better shot at their photos being picked up by the tabloids than one C-lister out by herself. Same goes for any two celebs of any rank.
ReplyDeleteThat said, they usually don't pair up for PR if they hate each other unless they're forced to for a junket so I have no idea about these two. I'm not even sure who they are.
Fandom blinds and reality show blinds. the good stuff is getting sparse.
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't make any sense at all.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if she has so many men in so many areas of the entertainment industry, why can't they get her off the cw?
ReplyDeleteYeah they wouldnt be the first pair to pair up for pap walks (though I don't even think Emily is even C list), but I can't believe they would do it if they hated each other. They have other fanous friends they could do that with if they really needed the publicity
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you post my comment enty?
ReplyDeleteThis blind simply doesn't make sense but if there is some thuth, i guess it works better if the bitch is EBR, since the one killed off is KC: EBR has friends in various fields, like Enty's friend @JarrettSays and like big CW and Arrow producer Greg Berlanti, which she spends holidays with. In the new season of Arrow there will be a new villain/possible love interest for Felicity. Plus KC was B list before Arrow, EBR is new in the business, and some say she is very focus on her career, like right people to spend time with. I think the one who hates the other but pretends not to is EBR, who is now the lead of a new Arrow, like the showrunners said it will. In the past years it's EBR who rivaled the leads of the show, SA and KC, for most media coverage, since she has a very big fanbase. And KC litterally transformed her body for the role, not exactly what a bored actress who doesn't care for the show would do. And really don't believe KC is a nightmare to work with, since she worked for a lot of CW shows, so it doesn't make sense keep hiring her instead of banning her from the network, like what happened to Katherine Heigl.
ReplyDelete"When this show first began, the writers thought it was definitely going to go in one direction. ReplyDeleteThis part adds up with Katie. No chemistry between her and Stephen Amell at all, the writers and EPs have all stated this plenty of times. She probably didn't take it seriously, because she couldn't get fired at the time perks of having a 6 year network contract.
"Instead of protesting what could be considered a demotion, she was pretty crafty and has spent the past several years formulating her plan. She has a group of men who work in various fields, whether it be publicity, production or management that have enjoyed her special talents"
Pretty self explanatory. There have been rumors for years that she is difficult to work with on set (showing up late, drinking problems, drama queen behavior...etc) this is not that far off.
"Not only has she rivaled the lead of the show for most media coverage, but she is set to be launched with her own show. She will be the star. That is what she has always wanted and now the new show will revolve around her."
Technically since Stephen doesn't really do anything outside of Arrow besides TMNT now, this could be considered true since she is always getting papped at the beach. At SDCC15 in her interviews she kept saying how she was a major key in launching LOT (turned out to be just in the pilot then was handed off to Caity Lotz).
"As part of her wrangling behind the scenes, she wants some power. Producer power. She won’t be a show runner, but she does want to have veto power over the stars who come on to the show."
Still trying to figure out how this part fits in, because it's just not realistic... at all.
"One of the people who won’t be making an appearance is the person who “replaced” her in one of the story lines. The two can’t stand each other. It is our B lister who has been pushing since last summer to have her killed off so that the star can have a new love interest."
This could apply to Caity Lotz or Emily Bett Rickards who "replaced" her respectively, one as Canary and the other as the lead and main love interest. Sara had to be killed off in order for Laurel to become BC then turned out to be a failed character, so I could see resentment when looking at it that way. EBR and KC only recently started to interact on social media after three years of nothing at the beginning of season four. I could see it if KC was really crafty as it says, why not use EBR's fan favoritism to try and save her job when she knew it was a possibility that she could get killed off (her network contract ended in 2016 so it's possible).
"No chemistry between her and Stephen Amell at all, the writers and EPs have all stated this" Who exactly said that, where did you read that? Do you have a link? I remember the casting guy saying the opposite while having writers and EPs saying things like this one is completely stupid, like "we are really demented because we cast two actors with no chemistry".
ReplyDelete"She couldn’t get fired at the time perks of having a 6 year network contract" You mean like Colin Donnell had a 6 years contract and got fired anyway?
"There have been rumors for years that she is difficult to work with on set..." Again, where did you exactly hear or read that? And "rumors", like a lot of shit in this site, doesn't mean anything. I heard a lot of rumor on EBR, that she is gay, that she is in a relationship with CH, that she is desperate to find a boyfriend? Do you think it's all true? I read a lot of interviews of all the regular cast, and Caity, Katrina Law. Echo Kollum or jr Ramirez... saying really nice thing about her, but i guess it's all pr work, right? Because based on totally plausible personal preferences, you decide that every bad rumor about KC is true and those about EBR are not, and that every nice thing said about KC is false aka pr maneuver but everything nice about EBR is true.
We can go on and on, but basically I agree with those ones before me saying this doesn't make sense. I'm sure Enty doesn't even know who Laurel or Felicity are. I guess someone got the news of KC fired i think merely for writing reasons and spiced it all with a lot of tipically olicity stan rumbling nonsense. Guess why Menna?
I know this is a old BI, but, man, it seems like her plan is still going on. She is returning, somehow, and I suspect CW will never let her go, or she CW. Nobody like her in this particular role, and now season 5 seems like is model for her and her character, and nobody from story-point wise understand why. Especially because she is irrelevant as character but suddenly she is in center and important, and the other characters lost their narrative. I don't wanna give KC a that kind of power, but it is obvious she has done something to someone to get that contract for season 5&6. Spill it enty.
