This former Glee actor has been trying to get another headlining Broadway gig but no one is willing to take a chance. His horrible ticket sales makes him a second lead at best right now but he is still living in some fantasy in his head that he was a big television star.
Darren Criss
TRICIA DOMINATED THIS ONE. I, HOWEVER, HAD A MASSIVE FAIL. IN FACT, I DECLARED IT WAS NOT CRISS.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying the guy doesn't have a big ego, or think he's the second coming of Jesus (look he's still keeping the beard thinking somehow he'll become a big movie star or whatever, when everyone -and I mean everyone- and their mother knows the guy is gaaaaay). But his sales weren't that bad c'mon, he'd a more succesful run in How To Succeed than Nick Jonas did, and Hedwig was already going down when he took over, his numbers weren't much worse than JCM's (the show's creator). So there's that...
ReplyDelete.....cares?
ReplyDeleteHonestly I don't believe it's ticket sales. His sales were not bad at all. I think he's unhireable because no one... and I mean no one.... wants to work with his team. From his management to his PR to the beard to the psychotic stans at the venues. Who wants to deal with all that crap after the first round in NY? He's going to lose his career at this rate.
ReplyDeleteCriss must be jealous that Jonathan Groff has been so successful on Broadway in Hamilton. Groff only has a few songs but he kills it and has been nominated for a Tony.
ReplyDeleteOT-I saw Hamilton a few weeks ago and loved it. Groff was one of the actors who came out after the show, taking pix and signing autographs. Very cool, guy.
