I have written once before about this news legend/icon who is suffering from memory loss and early dementia. She was at some event a few weeks ago and started telling a story and got to a certain point in the story and started again and then did it once more. It was really sad to see.
Barbara Walters
ReplyDeleteBarbara Walters?
ReplyDeleteBabwah Wahwah. No more of these blinds enty. Getting old is not easy -- let's not do this anymore to our aging celebrities. I don't want to know about these kinds of blinds. Makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteI read her biography/autobiography whatever and it was very interesting - she really is an icon.
ReplyDeleteShes too old for early dementia - she is in dementia.
ReplyDeleteI think Diane Sawyer. Remember how bizarre she was at the end of her news career
I agree with Glue. This isn't gossip. Depriving the elderly in natural decline of their dignity isn't the least bit entertaining.
ReplyDeleteOn mornings I'm hung over at work I do the same thing!
ReplyDeleteUgh comment got lost
ReplyDelete+10000 @glue. This is sad. Both my granny's battled dementia.
definetly Barbra, I figured shed be in front of a camera until the end and I guess this explains why she left the view!
ReplyDeleteSurely her handlers know what's going on with her. Can't they keep her off camera? Uh, Kim, you're right on. They will take Ms. Walters off the stage in a body bag. Once you feel the heat of the hot lights, you can't stay away from them.
ReplyDeleteAndrea Mitchell? It might explain Mrs. Greenspan's blind support of Bernie Sanders.
ReplyDeleteNAILED IT
ReplyDeleteMy diagnosis is that Derek suffers from a variation of Munchausen Syndrome, where he creates these aliases and posts these attacks due to extreme persecutory delusions. I hope he gets the treatment he needs, if not from me, then from anotehr bona fide professional.
ReplyDeleteDementia is sooo devastating. I am helping care for a relative with it now. The most interesting thing I've learned about it is that it's actually a spectrum of illnesses, one of which is Alzheimer's Disease. There are lots of others though, and they are all different. Some like Alzheimer's show massive short term memory loss, others have different things that come up while the person's memory still seems very sharp. Robin Williams reportedly had another type of dementia that co-exists with Parkinson's disease. Take your fish oil and coconut oil people! They have been shown to slow/reverse some of this cognitive decline and I have also been told this by the geriatric specialist too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a stupid blind. This is normal behaviour for elderly people with dementia. Why make a big deal out of it?
ReplyDeleteMornings? I do it all the time and I am not even hungover
ReplyDeleteLay off the crackpipe, twat, Derek's not even here today. DUH.
ReplyDeleteYep. Babs. She was a pioneer, let her go in peace.
ReplyDeleteIf Barbara then blind misleading. She is 86. If she has dementia it isn't 'early'.
ReplyDelete"Depriving the elderly in natural decline of their dignity isn’t the least bit entertaining."
ReplyDeleteVery well said.
Hai, Derek.
ReplyDeleteBarbara was a slut.
ReplyDeleteRobin Williams was dx with Lewey Body dementia. At first it presents as Parkinsons. It is horrible. People who have it cannot watch TV, or listen to the radio because they think everything is happening to them. Lots of paranoia. Robin Williams became aware of his dx, and, probably didn't want to go down that horrible road. People can live for years with Lewey Body. It is complete mental torture.
