Blind Item #3
Apparently this former A+ list tweener turned decent performance artist has an entirely different narrative of her time working with this permanent A list director than he does and it is creepy.

Miley Cyrus and Woody Allen.
ReplyDeleteWoody Allen and Miley
ReplyDeleteI should probably read the HR interview.

ReplyDeleteWoody Allen and Miley
ReplyDeleteOK, I read the THR interview with Woody Allen and he doesn't say much about Miley Cyrus, except he always thought she had good delivery. Caught her Hannah Montana once in a while when his kids were watching it.
ReplyDeleteI must be missing something, which happens a lot.
Decent performance artist? Miley? Wtf
ReplyDeleteI didn't read the story, but if anyone doesn't expect Woody Allen to be creepy at this point, they have their heads in the sand.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see anything too unusual about Miley in the interview, but his comments about his wife are creepy. He goes from talking about her being a starving orphan to an educated successful woman thanks to him.As though he raised her as a child.
ReplyDeleteMiley and woody allen. It makes me so mad that hollywood continues to support him, any actors that sign on to be directed by him are insestive and ignorat imo. His new film looks terrible, hooefully this will be the start of his professional decline
ReplyDeleteHe makes my skin crawl & that interview is nauseating. His poor trapped wife-child! Never found him the least bit funny. Who goes to see his movies anymore?
ReplyDeleteYep, he seems to be taking credit for completing changing her life while not allowing that she's changed him at all.
ReplyDelete"Caught her Hannah Montana.. when his kids were watching it" LOL! I bet Woody watches a lot of TV with tween girls on there.
ReplyDeleteWoody/Miley is a good guess. I like his old films, not so much his new ones. He is a creeper. I have always thought Blue Jasmine and Match Point were warnings to Soon Ye, i.e., you ever tell the truth about what went on between us when you were a minor, you will either die or end up with nothing; you destroy me, you destroy yourself.
ReplyDeleteI think the creepy comments are supposed to be from Miley. Can't find any yet, but she doesn't have any filters so it should be interesting.
ReplyDeleteOr that Mia and her then husband Andre Previn had anything to do with getting her out of Korea.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too.
ReplyDeleteRemember - Mia Farrow got pregnant by Andre Previn while he was still married to Dory, who wrote a song about what a deceitful bitch Mia was.
ReplyDelete"We were friends
Oh yes
We were
And she just took him from my life
Oh yes
She did
So young and vain
She brought me pain"
Mia also married Sinatra when still a teen. But he wasn't dating her mother.Although they could have.
ReplyDeleteI need to read the entire thing but the blip I got he sounds like one narcisstic bastard. I am guilty of watching his movies because he has some wonderful actors but then what does that make me?
ReplyDeletenarcissistic
ReplyDeleteAnd she also insinuated that she had an ongoing affair with Frank Sinatra well after he got married to Barbara.
ReplyDeleteRemember when she offered herself up as a political hostage swap, while she still had underage children to take care of?
I don't like Mia.
only good movie is Annie Hall. thats it.
ReplyDeleteHe is truly creepy, to live with a very small child, raise them, then go on to oogle them, marry and have sex and who knows if it is in that order:/
ReplyDeleteWoody has always been short, balding, and annoying. I never understood the attraction Diane Keaton had for him.
ReplyDeleteMia is a nutcase.
Soon Yi is creepier than Woody. She slept with her unattractive, elderly stepdad, and hid the relationship from her mother. Way gross. (See comment about Diane Keaton above.)
However, separating the art from the artist:..."Midnight in Paris" is one of the best movies ever. It's certainly Woody's best.
As you were.
Don't forget his first wife Louise LÃ sser? Sorry if I got her name wrong.Mary Hartman! She was pretty strange too. I guess normal woman run the other way.
ReplyDeleteHe's 80 years old. Even if it is (hah!) it probably won't affect him much, or for long.
ReplyDeleteHe never lived with Mia and the kids. He told her up front he wanted nothing to do with raising children. They lived in separate apartments across the street from each other. It was Mia who suggested he hang out with Soon Yi so he took her to basketball games.
ReplyDeleteI have been a supporter because he had his day in court and is not in prison. It was distressing to read yesterday that they had enough evidence to prosecute but didn't to protect the child. I don't think that's fair to anyone, not Mia or the child and certainly not Woody who never had a chance to defend himself in court and lives with a permanent taint.
Of course I have no idea if Ronan was telling the truth about the lack of prosecution. The court should speak out and set it all straight. If true it's an extreme lack of judgment from the judge.
Woody cast a fourteen year old Mariel Hemingway as his character's girlfriend in Manhattan. The character, Woody, was in his 40's. It creeped me out then, and it still does. She said he was trying to get her to travel/sleep with him back then, and I believe her. I believe Dylan, Ronan and Mia and always have. I boycotted his films when the scandal first broke, and I won't pay any money to this man, no matter how great the movie is, just like I boycotted Roman Polanski and Bill Cosby for the same reasons.
ReplyDeleteI thought a judge ordered no unsupervised time with his children so the judge must of thought it was true. What I find creepy is that he was allowed to adopt two girls ,since his wife has the morals of an alley cat I'm sure their lives have been a nightmare , look how sad the always look.
ReplyDeleteMariel Hemingway was at least 17.I'm not trying to defend him, but she cleared up that he didn't do anything wrong. She was more upset that her parents encouraged the relationship.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Well said.
ReplyDeleteYes, sad. And, with all the money in the world, Soon Yi dresses like she's only allowed to shop at Walmart.
ReplyDeleteSoon Yi was the sister of his children and his partner's daughter and she was about 40 years younger than him. He earned that taint.
ReplyDeleteWoody and Soon Yi are less related than third cousins. He never had anything to do with raising the children. If you want to talk about indiscretions, look at Mia's record. And seriously, is he the only man with someone 40 years younger?
ReplyDeleteThat said, taking nude photos of Soon Yi and leaving them on the mantle so Mia could find them was more than bad taste. It's easy to see how Mia would have freaked out.
I do remember that the court threw out a video tape because it was obvious Mia had coached the child.
Louise Lasser was extremely talented. They had a good relationship as far as I can remember reading about it. She lost her career over coke which was a monstrous scandal at that time. If it were today, she would be a minor blind item and still have a career.
ReplyDeleteI read that after the film he flew to her home in the midwest somewhere and asked her to travel somewhere with him. A relationship was implied. She said no; end of story.
ReplyDeleteReading all the casting couch stories at CDAN, that story is a non starter.
I actually believe that one because of Ronan Farrow. That kid looks just like Sinatra to me.
ReplyDeleteTrue, @Kno, I always think of her when St. Mia starts blathering.
ReplyDeleteSuch total bullshit @Jo.
ReplyDeleteWoody Allen has never been charged with anything, let alone convicted. Was he a stellar parent when he was with Mia? No. Was he a child molester? No. The only people who have ever made that claim are his bitter, vindictive ex, Mia, and some of her unfortunate, brainwashed hostages/children. Moses Farrow broke free of her and says Mia is a liar. In certain circles in NY everyone already knew she was a liar.
It's worth noting that the sainted Ms. Farrow never made any accusations against Woody (beyond him being a clueless father) until after she found out that he wasn't willing to go to couples therapy with her and he wasn't going to use her in "Manhattan Murder Mystery" anymore. The affair with Soon-Yi wasn't a big problem for her. Mia was willing to overlook it, remain Allen's romantic partner and continue to work with him on films. Losing her position in Woody's life and losing his leading lady roles was the problem. That's when she came up with the lies about Dylan, hoping to ruin him.
She's succeeded in destroying him in the minds of the stupid and the gullible. Everyone else knows that she's a piece of work whose word on this simply can't be trusted.
Every intelligent, discerning movie-goer in the world sees Woody Allen's films. He's a brilliant writer/director and a singularly gifted artist. We're lucky to have him.
ReplyDeleteAside from all that truth, Chris Brown still has a career, even with photographic evidence and successful prosecution. He doesn't have the talent to justify him still getting work and is a genuine, documented piece of shit.
ReplyDeleteWhile I did love "Match Point," after I learned his history, I could never again bring myself to watch his films. My ex was a big fan & tried to convince me of his "genius." I steadfastly refused to support a pedophile. I don't know how anyone can be a fan of his & still sleep at night. To support him is to condone his actions.
ReplyDeleteI have no opinion about what happened or didn't happen with his young daughter. I don't know the truth of that. I do know that his young children were harmed by his sexual relationship with their sister and betrayal of their mother and the entire family.
ReplyDeleteLet's assume that he and Soon Yi were truly in love with each other when it happened (which I don't believe for a second, he never claimed that he was in love with her). People can't always help who they fall in love with but they can help what they do about it. If they make the choice to be together despite the harm they might do to others, they shouldn't have compounded the pain by having Mia find out the way she did.
I was a Woody Allen fan. The "relationship" with Soon Yi in and of itself was enough to turn me away from him for good. And now, all these years later, when he wants to take credit for giving her things that her parents gave her - he's so narcissistic that it's pathetic.
Textbook narcissism both Woody and Mia, I couldn't agree more. Very bad taste also however, he should have been given a chance to defend himself in court.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're not one of the people who give Affleck a pass for his relationship with nannyho, a person who spent quality time with the children. Woody spent virtually zip time with Mia's "family." If anything he was a visitor, someone Mom was dating, certainly not a father figure. When Mia told Woody she wanted a child with him, he thought she was joking. Enough.
I didn't subject myself to that article about Soon-Yi's good life. In my opinion they have been living in a prison of their own making since the beginning of the relationship.
As far as your comment about Mia and her pain, please reference Dory Previn, and when she was done with him Andre Previn. That sordid episode begs the question about the children the Previns adopted, Soon-Yi and I think her sister. How did they feel about seeing their mother in such distress and their father with a replacement mother? That must have been a joy ride like no other.
I believe Mia has extracted her pound of flesh. I don't call her crazy because it's distasteful to me but she is somewhat out of touch with reality. After giving Woody his new reputation, she thought she was still going to be in his new film. She was replaced by Dianne Keaton who was trying to enjoy some time off.
