Usually this former A list mostly television actress from the now ended long running network comedy never has anything said bad about her. They are now. The actress who is now mostly movies is one of the biggest celebrity users of waters and was trying her best to make sure the drought continued. She uses about five times the amount of water a normal family uses.
Amy Poehler
If this is the worst thing you can say about her, then I still love her. Besides, she most likely not the only one in Hollywood that wastes restricted resources.
ReplyDeleteTruly scandalous..
ReplyDeleteIn other news, Barbara Streisand likes to keep her homes a frigid 42 degrees in the summer, even when she's not living in them at the time.
ReplyDeleteThey do it, so it's ok if she does it. Really?
ReplyDeleteIt isn't ok if any of them do it, and California has been in a serious, serious drought for a long, long time. It is a major problem.
That is why responsible and unselfish homeowners there have replaced their lawns with either fake grass or landscaping that is more suited to the circumstances.
Probably because it's better for the antiques she collects. Energy wasting, yes.
ReplyDeleteStupid Enty. Get a clue. Rules are for the little people and chumps. The elite are different from you and I.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...
ReplyDeleteWater bill in Beverly Hills: $300+ per month.
Water bill in Las Vegas: $50+ per month.
And I think my bill is too high!
So Gawker had this as a story the day before this blind. http://gawker.com/what-is-amy-poehler-using-all-that-water-for-1764765439. Kind of seems like this isn't a blind so much as news. Or "news."
ReplyDeleteGood heavens.
ReplyDeleteThis was news here in LA. Several other celebrity water wasters were named & shamed. Tom Selleck & Kylie Jenner (as if anyone needed another reason to hate her) were also guilty. Disgusting, arrogant behavior. The fines should be based on income so they have their desired impact, otherwise what's their incentive to stop? It's clear they don't give a shit about the environment or have a conscience.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Enty for printing this! Yes, it matters greatly. Water is a very scarce resource, and in a drought, it's really sticking it to everyone who is sacrificing.
ReplyDeleteThe truly disgusting are the enviroweenies who kill off water projects(dams, rain collection, desalinization, etc.) and otherwise make it impossible to get the water a large city needs. Then they jet off to some other location to tell people to conserve resources and stop using fossil fuels.
ReplyDeleteCalifornia borders the Pacific fucking Ocean.
ReplyDeleteEntire desert countries in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa for the ignorant turds here who have never left their couches) have no shortage of water because of DESALINATION PLANTS.
It's 2016 idiots.
Yeah! No one needs to dam a river in a national park!
ReplyDeleteShe looked tore up at the MTV movie awards!
ReplyDeletewow, what a weak blind.
